Adopted Petey, my Maltese Boston Terrier mix, from a rescue shelter in Texas. Great personality and is easy to train. Loves to play and just loves to cuddle with people.
Maltese Boston Terrier Mix - Bentley
by Janelle Squires
(Morgantown, WV)
Our Maltese Boston Terrier mix he is a very smart, inquisitive dog. He really is a joy to have. Not a heavy shedder at all; just mainly around the season change. He is super cute and playful and just wants to be with us. An all-around good dog.
Boston Terrier Mix Puppies
by Lynn
(Effort PA, USA)
We have two brand new Boston Terrier mix puppies. I bred my purebred Boston Terrier female to a purebred Maltese. We got 3 beautiful brindle and white little boys. I love everything about these 2 breeds, and can't wait to see how they grow. Anyone else have any exp. with Boston-malts?
Maltese Shitzu Boston Terrier Mix - Paradise
by Alison Gallegos
(Haslett, MI, USA)
Paradise - "Boston Teddy"
Paradise is the product of a Malshi Dad and Boston Terrier Mom. Her breeder called her a "Boston Teddy" since she is a Maltese Shitzu Boston Terrier mix. She is extremely loving, loyal and is absolutely wonderful with our (4) kids. She was difficult to potty train as we wish for her to go outside and, at the time, she did not have a role model to look up to. She was 2 years old before we could trust her out of her kennel unsupervised. (She would gather items from around the house to make a "nest" for herself and get into everyone's dirty underwear and chew holes in the crotches... YUCK!) Underwear was the only thing she ever chewed on... no carpet, shoes or anything else inappropriate.
Now that she's a "big girl", she is totally trust worthy. Car rides are the absolute most exciting experience for her... when she sees the collar and leash coming out, OH BOY! OH BOY! OH BOY!
We love the fact that she does not bark... Thank god! She does, however, growl at passersby through our front picture window. She loves playing with larger dogs as she is EXTREMELY fast and loves to jump. (Now that I think about it, she would be an awesome agility dog). Training was extremely easy as she has always been so eager to please (no treats required, just lots of sweet talk and belly scratches).
Not a stinky girl... She gets a bath every month (unless the yard is muddy) and groomed every 3 - 4 months. Her hair is a mix of wirey and poofy and looks absolutely horrendous if allowed to grow long. Its amazing after she returns from the groomers... she goes from old lady to puppy in a 1/2 an hour. My favorite body part of hers is her spotted tummy (so cute & soft).
Everyone that she comes into contact with loves her to death! I have gotten so many inquires as to where to get one like her or offers to doggy sit or (heaven forbid) if I ever had to find a home for her, they want to be a the top of the list. She such a little star! (I should have named her just that).
My little Maltese mix is a doll and my buddy forever!
Boston Terrier Mix - Romeo
Romeo is one of the nicest little dogs I have ever had. We acquired our Maltese Boston Terrier mix from an advert in our local newspaper here in Cape Town South Africa.
I wish I could find a little partner for him of the same mix. He has an awesome nature. He is playful, can be boisterous, but very trainable. Easy to house train and very intelligent. I have two small children and he is tolerant and good natured with them. he doesn't bark profusely either, which makes him an easy pet if you are living in close proximity to others.
He favours the Boston Terrier in colouring, but has the shorter legs of the Maltese. He has the wide set apart eyes of the Boston, but not bulgy.
He is gorgeous! Highly recommended Maltese mix!
Maltese Boston Terrier Mix - Jezebel
by Rachelle
(Hudson, Michigan, USA)
Our baby Jezebel. Is a Maltese x Boston terrier mix. Little to no shed. Easy to maintain. Skull like a Boston terrier without petruding eyes. Coat is longer then a Boston terrier. Colors are black/white, white/tan or brindle. Has shorter legs like the Maltese. Amazing with children and other pets. Easy to train. Muzzle resembles the Boston terrier. Heart of gold. Rarely barks, they can have short or wirey or long coats. Some may have sensitive skin. Some may have solid or speckled noses, as our Jezebel's is speckled.
Potty training has not been difficult at all. They weigh between ten to sixteen pounds. Moderate exercise is needed. A walk a day is what they will need. They are truly amazing family pets. With children with allergies in our home. The little to no shedding is wonderful. Hypoallergenic. She is very much a family pet and loves with her whole heart. Always trying to please. Jezebel is our first Maltese mix. And we could not have made a better choice. We love her so. Her temperament is amazing. We never have an issue with her chewing anything. We never have given her table scraps, because this mix can become extremely picky.
We recommend this mix to anyone who would like a wonderful edition. They are wonderful.
