Cavamalt - Bella
by Cathy Filter
(Jackson, MI)
Bella is the most playful and loving dog we have ever had. Our Cavamalt was very easy to potty train and quickly made friends with our Dachshunds and they loved her from the beginning. In fact, our Dachshund Harley always looks after her and grooms her like a Mother does her pups. The only bad behaviour she has she learned from Harley. She barks whenever anyone goes down our road or any noise outside. Our Cavalier Maltese mix loves everyone and she puts her paw on me just to touch me when she sits with me which is anytime I sit down. A Cavamalt is the only breed mix I would ever want.
Cavamalt Puppy - Winnie
(Texas)
Tiny pup
Our Cavamalt is very sweet. She is great with my four kids. She is very energetic, she loves to play fetch, chase and any other game the kids come up with.
She is very gentle and is always wagging her tail. She puts up with a lot of tugs and pulls. She LOVES other dogs.
She is a perfect dog for a family who wants a low shedding, active, small dog. She has a beautiful, super soft, fluffy coat.
One more perk is that she rarely barks! She is always very excited to see everyone!
Cavamalt - Charlie
by Kendra
(North Dakota)
I just got my Cavamalt four days ago and he is already the love of my life. Very playful and sweet. He is also a very quiet dog which is nice for apartment life. Charlie loves playing with my friends dogs and everyone who has seen him just loves him. He is learning how to go on the potty pads very quickly and also caught on to sleeping in his kennel right away. I definitely recommend a Maltese Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix to someone who is looking for a good apartment dog.
Cavamalt - Nanook
by Justine
(Melbourne, Australia)
Nanook is sweet, very smart, extremely loving Cavamalt and great with everyone she meets. She steals every heart she meets. She is equally happy to go on long walks, play with other dogs and cats, or just sitting on the bed all day sleeping. Great with kids and very playful. She even stole my roommates heart who is not a dog lover. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Maltese mix dogs do require daily grooming and are prone to ear conditions because the big fluffy ears. I would highly recommend this breed to anyone as long as you have the time for grooming.

Female Cavamalt - Minny
by Janaire
(Maryland)
Cavamalt - Minny
Minny is extremely fun! My Cavamalt dog (Maltese King Charles Spaniel mix) is high spirited, intelligent, gentle, playful and loving. She loves to please and was not hard to train at all. She loves my son who is five, but she treats him like he is another puppy and not her owner. They fuss and argue all the time and most of the time she wins the arguments. She loves having “puppy time”. During puppy time she runs all over the house from one floor to the next, literally jumping off furniture, running under chairs, flying down the steps until she collapses, which is usually by my feet. She is a year now and still every bit of a puppy. The commands she knows is LAY, SIT, CRATE, (which she knows means go into her crate) DOWN (which we normally say when we want her to get off of something) OUT (which we say when we want her to leave out of a room), OUTSIDE, WALK. My Cavamalt also knows that if I snap my fingers she is to stop whatever she is doing and come see what I want. Minny is a great companion. Weekends when my son goes with his father Minny will cuddle next to me and never leave my side. She literally follows me around the house even if I move while she is sleeping. She’s not a bad dog at all. I don’t worry about her chewing on things (except maybe my son’s toys but I think she does it to get a reaction out of him). She hasn’t pottyed in the house since she was 5 months. Minny is a scary cat! I always say I need to get a dog to protect my dog. She jumps easily, hides when something scares her. Even though she barks when people knock on the door she’ll run when I open the door not to return until she’s sure the coast is clear. She is extremely loveable and loves anyone who comes to my home. She loves getting treats and having her belly rubbed.

Lucy
by Lauren
(Sydney, NSW, Australia)
Lucy loves her rope toy
Lucy was found on the side of the freeway by my neighbour, who luckily stopped and rescued her. She was about 3 months old. My vet is pretty sure she is a Maltese Cavalier mix and she looks exactly like one of the puppy photos on this website. She is white with caramel markings on her ears, body and tail. Lucy is an absolute darling, always happy, playful and full of energy. She has brought happiness into our lives after losing our 16yr old foxie at Xmas.
She is so much fun to watch, she loves toys, especially squeaky ones, and has been easy to train to sit and drop. We are still working on the toilet training but she has almost got it. She is a bit submissive but that has made it easy to meet other dogs and she loves to play with my sister-in-laws Maltese. She is going through a bit of a biting stage at the moment as she is still teething but I'm told this will stop. She will be 6 months old soon and we will get her desexed then. I would definitely recommend this breed as Lucy is smart, big enough to cope with kids, gorgeous to look at and beautiful to hug.
