My Riley, my best friend!

Riley is a 6 month old Cocker Spaniel Maltese mix and is a very playful puppy. We are still working on potty training but I do believe that we are almost there.!

He looks like a little teddy bear and when I sent pictures to my friends when I first got him they all thought he was a stuffed animal.

This is a very loving breed and very smart too!

I am searching for a Maltese/Cocker mix puppy or young adult dog. Does anyone know any breeders they would recommend? My son's Maltese/Cocker just recently passed away and he would like another one. I have not had any luck in finding one.

He looks like Sprocket from Fraggle Rock. I have a neighbor with this kind of dog, and I think it's the one we're gonna go with when we do get a dog. My daughter had allergies, and she seems okay with Brownie.

I have a Cocker/Maltese Mix and his name is Cody. He's very smart, playful and loyal. When I come in from work he's there jumping around, wagging his tale and is very excited to see me. If I don't pay any attention to him he'll actual try to get on my feet and just sit there. I do it on purpose sometimes just to see HIM sit on my feet. Cody is 3 months old and loves to play with his fluffy yellow and orange duck! I just realized how much I love him and really enjoy his company!!

My Riley

I have a Cocker/Maltese mix also named Riley, he is 2 1/2 now. He is my constant companion when I'm not at work, follows me everywhere at home, and wants to go everywhere. Loves riding in the car, and walking on the beach. Disposition is great, you can tell he is a happy dog and he loves everyone, people, dogs and even cats. Lots of fun and very smart.
My best friend.
I could recomend no other type of dog any higher.

Cocker Maltese Mix - Riley

Riley Downtown Huntington Beach

Riley is a terrific dog. He is a happy Cocker Maltese mix and loves everyone and everything.

Doggy Beach is his favorite place and we go 3 or 4 times a week. Like all Maltese he won't go in the water except up to his knees. He can walk and play on the beach without a leash and he loves the other dogs and all the people there. After the beach he likes to go to Starbucks for a water and enjoys sitting out front and watching the people and traffic on main street.

He is even good friends with Puss the cat. Riley likes children and will stand patiently while they 'pet' him. My Cocker Spaniel Maltese minds well and is my constant companion when ever I'm not working - he's always at my side, never more than about 4 or 5 feet away at the most.

He loves to ride in "his" car a 1966 Olds 88 convertible. He only complains if we take a car with bucket seats - he likes a bench seat so he can ride in my lap or with his head out the window. He also seems to like riding in the basket on my bike when we ride by the beach. Riley was born October 20th 2006 and I got him Christmas eve 2006. Riley weighs about 19 pounds and is about 14" at the shoulder.

In the summer especially I have him trimmed about every 60 days. Riley is my best friend and just a terrific dog!

Doggy Beach

Doggy Beach is a Beach on the north side of Huntington Beach. Its run primarily by volunteers and donations from the public. It's a great sandy beach about 1 mile long. You don't need to keep your dog on a leash there so the dogs can run and play together. Or you can join your dog in the surf. Water kind of dogs like Labs and Retrievers will chase balls and throw tows out in the water. There are hundreds of dogs there on summer days and 1000s on extra warm weekends. You get some "doggy bags" from the dispensers when you enter the area and pick up after your dogs. Its really a great place for the owners to take their special friends for some play. Aggresive dogs should be kept at home or at least on a leash all the time.

Cocker Maltese Mix Riley Update

I was concerned that Riley was home alone all day when I'm at work. Because Riley seems to interact with other dogs so well when we go to the beach or the dog park I thought a friend might be good for him. I wanted a dog about his size and hoped the temperament would be even 1/2 as great as his. Riley is an easy going and loving dog. Well behaved and a great companion.

After interviewing several dogs we found a little gal named Princes who's owner was forced to give her up because he was being transferred back to Afghanistan. Princes was a 9 month old pure Cocker (Riley will be 3 this October 20). We invited her into the house and within a couple days she and my Cocker Maltese mix Riley became great friends. They play with each other a lot, Princes is just as well tempered and loving as Riley is.

Now both love to walk the beach - only difference is Princes will actually go in the water and romp around, while Riley is only happy if he only gets his feet wet. Both dogs get along great with all the other dogs and love any attention from people - especially kids.

Riley and I are still best "buds" but now I know he's not alone all day. Princes was a great addition to our pack.

In 2013 Riley, Princes, and I retired to Idaho. While we no longer have a beach the dogs love their new big back yard, with pond. They seem to love the season changes also.

Still they are my best buddies, and both are sweet dogs that love all people.

Cocker Spaniel Maltese mix is blonde and white and is 2 months old. She loves to play, run, and eat when you are walking she will chase and bite and growl. When you're play fighting with her she will bite hard and growl. She loves to be outside she is shy around other peoples houses and is shy when you walk her. Loves playing with other dogs of different size,s she is trained.

My Cocker Maltese mix dog is the most cutest ever. Smart, lovable and cunning. She has her moments with playmate King Charles Cav and can be mean over toys.
She is all chocolate, eyes, nose, with white streak down chest. My Maltese Cocker mix is fast and jumps like no ones business. Wouldn't trade her for the world. On walks she is the hit of the streets.

Maltese Cocker Mix - Miranda

Miranda in a one year old Maltese Cocker mix, weighs 11lbs and is the best dog! She was very easy to train loves just being with me and yes I do take her everywhere with me just not to work. She's very calm but also playful. She wants to do whatever I'm doing if I'm laying on the couch so is she cuddled up right on me until I get up then she follows me everywhere. She also loves toys especially when I bring home new ones you should see how excited she gets it's very cute.

To be honest my Maltese Cocker Spaniel mix is the perfect dog. I've had her since she was eight weeks and never was a chewer or really did anything bad except for some accidents in the house but that was expected. I love her more than anything and couldn't of asked for a better dog!
