We were looking for cute girl dog names and came across Carmella. It sounds sassy and stuck up and that is exactly what she is. also, her coat is a caramel color (she's not a purebred Maltese... but don't tell her that!) We love her.

Our (hubby & me) initials are the same (FAB). Our favorite local diner is "Frenchy's." It just seemed natural to continue our family initials to name our Maltese: Frenchy A Braggs; thus FAB 3! It is one of our favorite girl dog names.

I decided to name my sweet little Maltese Lulu Bell, but we primarily call her Lulu, or 'the lu'. I had been tossing around a bunch of ideas for possible names, but I decided to wait and observe her personality. She is a shy petite girl so it took a couple of days for her to let her spunky-ness show. She is a total sweetheart, and very feminine... so we picked a dainty and cute girl dog name like Lulu :)

When our sweet Mimzy, our first Maltese, passed away we were devastated. We received many cards in the mail, as well as other thoughtful gifts to encourage us and help us cope. We began to notice a similar theme in the expressions of sympathy - rainbows. So when our new Maltese puppy picked us, she gave us such a sense of being connected with Mimzy, my husband thought "Rainbow " would always honor her memory. I chose the middle name Joy because she brought us so much joy from the moment we saw her. Rainbow has been such a Joy to us for over a year now. She is playful, affectionate, loves to please, loves people, and cuddles and comforts me when I need it. She is her name - Rainbow Joy.
I went through all the possible female dog names I could think of,and I was trying to think of comman names that aren't unique but cute. So I finally thought of Lilly and I looked at her and she looked up at me and I could just tell she was a Lilly.

Willow is one of our 4 babies. Her name is one of our favorite girl dog names. Our only Maltese. She is 3 1/2 years old. She is our smallest dog at 10 lbs. (Bigger for a Maltese but little in our house). But she doesn't act it she keeps up with her two sister and brother who are 20 lbs, 25lbs and 70lbs. Even two of our cats are larger than her. But she doesn't seem to notice.
She sleeps with us at night. If you ask her for a hug she throws her head onto your shoulder and rubs up against your neck. After grooming she gets a treat and if I get busy and forget she reminds me by pawing at the pantry door where the treats are kept. She loves to go for walks and will pull at the table cloth on the dining room table where her leash is to let you know she would like to go for a walk now. She can't catch so when I throw treats to the dogs and it is her turn she will turn her head to side like she is telling me to throw it there and I will pick it up.
I wanted a Maltese for years and my husband would say no. "Those aren't real dogs they're too little." But guess what... he has pretty much stolen my dog. He will even tell you how much he adores and loves her and she has him wrapped around his finger. She will run and sit with him when she hears the bath water running so he can protect her. She is a great watch dog from her perch on the back of the recliner. Maybe to good she will even let us know if someone 4 doors away is getting their mail or paper. Willow is just the best.

My Japanese Chin Maltese mix is very friendly, loving and wanting to please you all the time. Loves to play and chew on just about everything.
Bella is very intelligent and loves to show off the new tricks she has learned. She hates to be brushed so we have to keep her in a puppy cut. She is now only 6 months old.
She had a long coat that was non-shedding. Looks like a Maltese but larger. Right now she is around 9 lbs and is very active.

Misty is a year old rescue dog. When I got her as a four month old ball of fur and was potty training her, it was foggy and misting outside. I really couldn't see anything but her eyes and button nose she blended so well with the weather. My husband opened the door, looked out and said "it's Misty", and she came running. Thus her name. She is his best buddy as well as mine. I'm sorry I have no pictures of her on my computer yet.

Hi my name is Christine. I am from NYC I have two Maltese. Great breeds. They are both up in age, one is 14 and the other 16. While I notice a change in their lifestyle, they are still loving and very fun little girls. That's why I gave my Maltese names Princess & Chloe. Here is what my babies look like: They also love the pool!

I found a great female dog name. I named my dog Penny because I thought it was a really cute name after watching the Disney movie The Rescuers. The little girl in the movie is named Penny.
I also thought it fit well because when I got her at 6 weeks, she was black and a copper color. But that color has mostly grown out and you can only see it a little bit on her face and ears. The rest of her is a blonde color. She is still my Penny though.

I like Eric Clapton and his famous song "Layla". I think it makes a cute girl dog name. She looks like the woman that Clapton describes in his song "Layla".
