Female Maltipom - Sadie

by Carrie
(Florida)

Sadie is a 2 year old female Maltipom. She is full grown as 6.5 lbs. She likes to learn new things but tends to be food motivated. She was prone to barking and lunging at strangers and visitors - but after a great deal of socializing and finally hitting the 2 yr mark, she's settled down and isn't as aggressive. It takes work to change the behavior, but the key is it can be changed.

My Maltese Pomeranian is athletic and spry and still sweet and cuddly. She's also surprisingly independent, which I can appreciate. But I'm not sure where she picked up the habit of shredding paper.

She's adorable and full of personality. She looks like a stuffed toy. Not a day goes by that my Maltipom doesn't make me laugh.

Female Maltipom - Clary

by Jamie
(Tioga, ND)

LOVES socks ;)

LOVES socks ;)

Clary is a sweet and affectionate female Maltipom puppy. She's a real big cuddler! She sleeps with us at night and naps on us during the day she loves to be held! I always say shes extreme because not only does she love cuddling she loves to play she gets very hyper and runs around like crazy and barks. My Maltese Pomeranian is still just a puppy so everything to her is a toy! I already love her so much and am so happy to have her! She's such a wonderful dog so far I can't wait to see what the next years will bring! I suggest Maltipoms for anyone looking for a loving companion!

Female Maltipom - Teddie Bear

by Kathie
(Tacoma WA)

My female Maltipom Teddie is very special to me. She is now 3 years old. I got her at a breeder I know who has raised champion Poms and Maltese. At 5 1/2 months she started telling me when I would be sick, and stay with me when I was. From that age on she warns me that I will start hurting,or become ill. She makes me sit down and not to over do my self. My Maltese Pomeranian mix also will not leave my side when I get depressed or really upset about something. She has been easy to train but she has a mind of her own, so sometimes I have to really stand my ground and not let her be spoiled. I treat her as if she is a large dog, so sometimes people are surprised at what she does, I always get many compliments about how well she behaves, even in a large crowed area. She is now being trained to be my service dog. It has been a real trip, when with a trainer she does what she should do sometimes better than large dogs. But not always at home. Like I said she has a mind of her own.

Her shape is of a Maltese but her coloring. She changes colors like a chameleon always changing colors. She was black when I got her, since then she has been many colors of grey and now white and some grey with brown. She never let me down, always doing something funny when I'm feeling down, what can I say except that is wonderful and I love her very much.

Pomeranian Maltese Mix - Lucy

by Maree
(Mackay Australia)

our Lucy

our Lucy

Our Lucy is a cheeky little Pomeranian Maltese mix and is one year old. She adores children and was adopted by our daughters class. On each visit to the classroom she would go to each child and make each one feel as though she loved them the most.

Lucy is quite sneaky and unbeknownst to us, she had been hiding everyone's socks in a secret location. After vacuuming under the lounge cushions one day I found her stash... about 30 socks that had mysteriously disappeared.

Our Maltese Pomeranian often tries to sneak away with items and literally tiptoes silently and quietly to escape attention... although naughty it is very cute to watch. She is very childlike and even when walking she will look up at me to be picked up when tired.

In the mornings she searches for the kids and even if we have only gone outside for 15 minutes she greets us like she hasn't seen us for days.

She rounds the chickens up and puts them back in their pen and just loves our cats who just tolerate her.

Lucy just loves water ... and if you we are not careful and don't close the bathroom door she will race into the shower with you.

Lucy is very affectionate and has a gorgeous personality... she is pretty obedient and we now recognize her different barks for snakes... etc. She is absolutely adored and shows so much love back to us. We can thoroughly recommend a Pomeranian Maltese mix to anyone.

Grey Maltipom - Katie Belle

by Jeannie W.
(Hot Springs, Arkansas, USA)

Katie Belle

Katie Belle

My grey Maltipom Katie is my best friend in the world! My husband wasn't really excited about getting a dog. As soon as he saw Katie, he agreed we could have her and he really liked her. He only got to know Katie for three days because on May 2, 2009, he passed away. God knew what was going to happen and I know that's why He let me have Katie. He knew I'd need her. She has been the greatest comfort in the world.

She is a beautiful Malti-pom with silky grey hair. I keep it cut in the summer but she's cute either way! She weighs about 10 lbs. She's a very relaxed dog but likes to play every evening. She get's so excited about chasing her toy that she will just take off in a running frenzy for no reason!

She sleeps snuggled up against my back every night. Then in the morning, sometimes she will act like she's still asleep so I won't bother her! ha! Other times she gets up all excited and runs to go outside. She will pause every few seconds to make sure I'm right behind her. Sometimes she looks like she is smiling but other times, she looks sad. Her face is very expressive.

My Maltese Pomeranian can always tell if I'm going somewhere. If I ask her if she wants to go bye-bye, she gets all excited and stands on her back legs like she is begging...otherwise, she goes to this area I have "fenced" off for her to stay when I'm gone.

She can do a lot of tricks but we still have a problem understanding what going "potty" means. She thinks it means running around the parameter of our back yard like a show dog... but barking loud as if to protect us. She is so funny! I love her so much and am not sure how I would make it without her!

Sophie our Maltipoo

Sophie our Maltipoo

Sophie is a wonderful dog. My Pom Maltese mix is a beautiful reddish/blonde color and is now 2 years old. Her coat is quite long, but never seems to get tangled. She is very intelligent and has learned several tricks. She has a wonderful personality and is very social around other pets and people. She loves to lay on our laps, but she is also very playful and will run around the back yard with a toy in her mouth. My Pom Maltese has our Pug Nellie as her buddy and they love to play chase taking turns chasing each other.

We got Sophie a year ago. She is a wonderful little female Malti-Pom, just 5.5 pounds of energy and love. She constantly wags her tail and is such a happy little girl. She loves to run in the snow and to chase around the yard with a toy in her mouth or play with her best friend Nellie our Pug. Our Maltese Pom mix is very smart and can do several tricks and makes us laugh. Her beautiful blonde/reddish hair is long and beautiful, but does not seem to tangle.
