I am a singer and an anonymous fan gave him to me for Christmas after one of my shows - during this time I was feeling really down. Then I started looking for good dog names.

I have three Maltese dogs. Bubby and Sissy were from the same litter. They are two years old. They are the sweetest dogs and so social. Corky unlike them is a little on the crazy side very hyper, but still sweet. He is one years old and he is not fixed he is AKC registered and a beautiful Maltese, I would love to breed him.
If you know of a female or a breeder close to KY I would love to chat. My email is carriepark75@Yahoo.com.

When we were on our way home. Our Maltese was in his crate. My mom said, "He´s Squeaking!" I told my husband, "That´s IT! His name is Squeakers!" It is a great name for him, because he LOVES to play.
My mother is Sicilian and she said the dog needed an Italian name. Nico is short for Nicolino and I thought it fit my little dog very well.
I went through all the puppy naming lists. Riley rhymes with smiley and sounds like such a happy name and from the moment we held him he did not stop kissing us. He has been the happiest dog we have ever had.

My niece (who the dog belongs to) was coming up with some good dog names and really wanted to name her that because she liked the name and it was the name of our cat who had died a year ago. The name really seems to fit, because now she really looks like a Molly.

We were trying to find good dog names for our Maltipoo. We named him Spoofers for the reasons of how he was so poofy and spunky.

I have always liked the name Marley, so that it what I named one of my Maltipoos. I wanted my granddaughter to have that name but she was named Milla instead.
As for my Maltipoo Bentley, he was adopted and he came with that name. Now Marley and Bentley are the best of friends.

I chose my female dog's name Courtney because that was my favorite name at the time, and my male dog's name Snowball because he looked like a ball of fluff. I think these are good dog names for my two dogs. And every one thinks Courtney is Snowball, but Snowball is feisty and has short, curl hair which people think he's smaller. But Courtney has medium length hair, with makes her look much larger.

I have two other small dogs at home and I figured hmmm, this is Sampson and his two Dahlia's! So I call him Sam for short! It also happens to be one of the top dog names for male dogs.
He is an adorable, full of life 4 month old Maltese puppy!

After looking at pictures of Elizabeth Taylors Maltese back in the mid 80's I knew when I met my 1st Maltese pup that his name would be Pierre. He knew right away that he was #1 & hot stuff. He was stuck up & above alot of things & I didnt care because over all his personality was everything. He learned all of his commands by 10 wks & was very smart. He unfolded the washington Post newspaper after pulling off the couch at a very young age, must have been before 16 wks. & unfolded the paper & pee on it. Pierre is now 18 yrs old going on 19 in Oct 2012. He has been my pride & joy, my everything. Sadly he was diagnosis with Thyroid cancer 7/2011, He is still receiving treatments & going strong. I hope he make 20. There will never be another Pierre unless I clone him.

I was sitting on the grass with my Maltese puppy on my lap. I picked a clover and shouted out "Why not name her Clovey?". So she was named after a clover so it's kind of some Irish dog names.

I choose this name because I just love the name and I love Skittles as much as my dog! I think this is a very good dog name for any Maltese dog.

A couple of months ago, my mother and I met up with this lady's daughter and her husband. We live in Lexington, KY and we had to meet them half way in the next city over called Georgetown because they lived miles and miles away, and drove hours to meet us.
The arrangement we had with these people was to adopt a pure bred, Maltese puppy and she was FREE!
The woman who was accompanied by her husband (who also drove the trip down there) was sitting in the backseat with her newborn baby that she had just given birth to and the other baby (my Abigail) in a basket with them.
The reasoning for Abigail being adopted out for free was because the woman's mother had a Maltese who had given birth to a litter of three.
Abigail was the only girl in the litter but no one adopted her, the boys were the only ones that were adopted into new homes and because of this, the woman was desperate to find a home for her so she had her daughter travel miles with her husband to give her away to us!
So we took her and ensured her daughter that we would take very good care of her and that she would be safe with us. They were such nice people.
So all we had to do was think of a name! My mother and I love the show "Days of Our Lives" and we watch it everyday it airs! My favorite character from the show is named Abigail so I thought it would be really cool to name our new puppy Abigail but we call her Abby for short and that's what she answers to.
I attached a picture of little Ms. Abby and the actual Abigail who inspired her name. Both girls are absolutely beautiful!

I've always wanted to name my dogs after food and until I got Milky I never have the chance to do so, because I was a lot younger when we first got our older dogs. There were a lot of names that I came up with, some of them are food like cookie and etc. The name Snowy also came up, because of her white coat. We were about to adopt Milky's brother, because we thought female dogs are complicated with all the possibilities of her getting pregnant and heat period. However, after seeing her my mom and I decided that it was best to take her with us, because she is more well-suited to our family compared to her brother. The other names were not taken into consideration again, especially since we felt like it doesn't really suit her.
The name Milky actually came from my love for Milk and also her white coloured coat. Instead of Milky, I was about to name her Milk without the y. But my mom said it is too difficult to call her Milk all the time, so we decided to add y. She also have nicknames, which are Mil and Ky taken from the first three and last two letters of her name. (the nicknames came naturally after we had her for three months)

It wasn't hard to pick this adorable name for my fur baby, since that's all he wants to do. As soon as you pick him up he lays in your arms and the look in his eyes is "This is Heaven" so I just had to call him Snuggles :)

This name was given to her when we got her. A friend gave her to me. Her name is Chloe. She is a Maltese Shih Tzu mixed. We love her so much. She gets along good with our Yorkie Poo (Amos).
