Our Chin Maltese mix runs the house. My wife and I and our mix lab bull are on Tribble time. He's up early for a game of sock pull or ball chase, its how he drops it by your face and both front feet pushing on you like one of my kids did to wake you Christmas morning. Then outside for both, and breakfast.
We live in the country so he has a good size yard that as he goes out he barks wildly to let everything no to watch out hes arrived. Very lovable little guy, likes to dig dirt and run like no stopping him.
I and my wife think he's a handful sometimes but we are pretty attached to him. He's one fun little year old pup, I named him after a star trek show called trouble with Tribbles and it fits him, we also call him Mr. Tribbs.

Sammy is the best dog I have ever had!!! He is funny, and plays very well by himself. He has a favorite stuffed toy and he makes us laugh so hard when he fights with his own tail. I love love love my Japanese Chin Maltese cross!!!!!

My dog is a Japanese Chin Maltese mix, which gives him a cute slightly curly tail and a black and white coat (white paws, chin, and belly). He is adorable and the most friendly loving pup, great with our two kids, 7 and 9. Our Maltese Japanese Chin mix loves to play with other dogs, and is a big face-licker. The cutest thing is when he does his little dance on his hind paws, which he can maintain for a half-minute or so due to his strong short back legs. He also can run remarkably fast for such a tiny thing.

Domino is a Japanese Chin Maltese dog. He is about 9 months old. Domino is very loving and loves to play fetch and give kisses. Domino does love to be the center of attention, which my cats are not too sure of because they are use to being the center of attention. I think Domino thinks he is part cat because he loves to lay on the back of our couch just as our cats do.
I found Domino for sale in a Wal-Mart parking lot and it was love at first sight. I had never heard of a Japanese Chin Maltese but I sure have fallen in love with them. They are great dogs, I would recommend them to everyone.
If anyone out there could recommend whether we should fix him or not please do so. I would love to find another one just like him.

Willy is a rescue dog. We were told he was a shih tzu mix, but didn't quite believe it, so we had a DNA test done. Willy is 1/2 Japanese Chin, 1/2 Maltese, both his parents, and grandparents on both sides were Japanese Chin/ maltese mix dogs! He is very sweet!

My Maltese Japanese Chin dog Bob was very easy to train compared to other dogs that I owned in the past. He took to his wee wee pad almost immediatly and has always been a social butterfly. He is around 9 pounds and 6 months old. bob is a very high maitenance when it comes to attentsion. If you do not pick him up and talk to him a least once a day he will become depressed and distant. I will often find him sulking alone unwilling to forgive me for my absence but he warms up a little after you attemp to play with him for a while.
That said he seems to have the positive traits of both dogs. He rarely barks(chin), he is very comfortable with being held for long periods or dressed in clothes (Maltese), he is absolutly fearless and very quiet around the house(chin), potty traing almost not even needed (chin), underbite (chin), elongated snout(Maltese), hypoallergenic hair (Maltese). That said I really love this dog!!!
He has an amazing personality and is super cute as I am told every time I walk him. In my opinion the Jatese (Maltese x Japanese Chin mix) is the ideal mixed breed of small dog for those that want it all.
We love our Japanese Chin Maltese hybrid dog Mel! He is excellent with our 7 year old twins and 1 year old baby boy!

We have had Otis for only a week. My Japanese Chin Maltese hybrid dog weighed a little over two pounds when we got him and is currently ten weeks old. We are working on housetraining him and it is going ok. He loves to be outside, so walking him takes time because everything distracts him. If there is a stick or a leaf within eyesight he has to have it.
Otis is a VERY friendly and smart puppy. He acclimated to his new home quickly and in a day or so was playing fetch. It took a few more days for Him to be able to go up steps because he was so tiny. He has yet to master going down steps but it is just a matter of time and he will have the run of the house.

She is a sweet loving playful dog that lets my daughter put her in high chairs and strollers like she is her baby. My Japanese Chin Maltese mix is very small and loves to cuddle she thinks she everyone's mom. Takes care of the cat and our Lab Weimaraner mix that towers over her at 3 mo. old. She is my baby and I love her like she is my child.
