I believe Gizmo's a Malchi! I've been looking and looking for similar pups online, and most I've seen resemble our little guy! We got him three months ago as a rescue dog, and we just adore him. He's 2 & 1/2 yrs old, loves car rides and is terrific on a leash. He's protective of his family (us), and thinks he's protecting us by barking at bycyclists and airplanes! He loves playing fetch and running in large circles in our large one acre back yard.

Bella is my wonder Malchi, rescued from the Sacramento Animal Shelter, almost a year ago. She has been the most wonderful best friend in my life so far. At the time I adopted her, the Shelter Assistance was not able to tell me what kind of Terrier mix was she, but I did my own research and realized that she is a Malchi. Her nose was like a Maltese, her ears, hair and body is like a Chihuahua. Also doing a personality search, both the Maltese and Chihuahua matched her very well.
The day I met her, I was very down due to some family issue, but once I saw her, she put a smile on my face and at that moment I knew she was something very special to me. So whenever I'm down I know I can count on her to make me smile.
Her personality is very great. She loves giving kisses to me, which is showing me that she cares and loves me, just like to do to her. She is very energetic and very playful. She is very smart and friendly and she is also great with children.

Scamp is a rescued Malchi dog from a Poodle rescue and we were told her mother was Poodle Maltese and the father Chihuahua. We've yet to see any evidence of Poodle, but can see the Chihuahua and Maltese, in both appearance and personality. Looking at the Malchi pix, I'm pretty sure that's what she is. We got her at nine weeks and have had her six weeks and she's a darling! Loving, affectionate, eager to please. She's about 90% housebroken, usually having accidents only when she and Spook (our 3 year old Eskimo Spitz) are too busy playing for her to remember where "jobs" are done. Otherwise, she squeaks to go out and barks to come in. She's doing well with leash training and "settling" and not begging. She loves lazing in the sun with a stick almost as much as cuddling close, while I read, or laying on my lap, while I'm working at the computer. She's not a "yapper," but will periodically demand holding a discussion with you, if she has an issue

Brandi is a Malchi rescue dog. I rescued her from the worse conditions imagineable. She was confined in a box on the front porch in the middle of winter. The box was bearly big enough for her to stand in, but not enough to stretch her legs. There were two tiny bowls shoved in the box completely dry as if there were no water in it for a while. The first time I saw her at one of my fathers friends house, I fell in love with my Maltese Chihuahuas soft, beautiful eyes. I knew I had to do something about it. All these people ever thought about was money, so I offered a very over-priced amount for her and took her home. I let her out for the first time in nine months and she literally ran laps around my three bedroom home. She was most definitely not shy! She is the sweetest dog anyone could ask for. She is also a great companion to cuddle with, or just to hang out and watch TV all day. My Maltese Chihuahua mix loves to play with her Milk Bone balls in the back yard, and can run for miles! She thinks she is the boss when it comes to other dogs. She loves to play with them, but will also bark as if she is bigger than her 5 lbs. She is a joy to have and love. I wouldn't trade my Malchi for the world!

Livee was a rescued Malchi dog from 10 of the surviving dogs from the Arizona Monument Fire of 2011.
At first she was very aggressive to anyone that approached her, even me, but over the next 3 days, using patience, she now implicitly trusts me, and doesn't leave my side, I can do practically anything to her.
She still tends to lunge and attempt to bite my wife or anyone else if they try to approach her, but I'm working on that.
She's not even bothered that we have 2 other dogs, a Chihuahua and a purebred Anatolian Shepard, along with 3 cats, Livee, actually plays with 'Grizzly' one of the cats, they chase each other around the living room.
I'm not going to introduce her to the grandchildren yet, when they come round I put Livee back in the bedroom.
Livee is still very protective, but still knows who is top dog.
The funny thing about this, is Livee will allow my wife to feed her by hand, but that's all.
Last night for the first time, my wife slept in our bed (over the last 3 days she slept on the couch, so that I could work on getting Livee to trust me, which paid off), Livee was a bit dubious of jumping on the bed, but we both ignored her, and this morning, when I woke up, Livee was asleep between me and my wife, but as soon as my wife moved Livee immediately jumped off the bed snarling and growling, but as soon as I left the bedroom Livee followed me.
Even when I'm at my computer, Livee curls up under the desk close to my feet.
Further investigations, found that Livee was 1 of 20 dogs that an elderly woman had, 10 died in the fire, and 10 were rescued, but all 20 were in kennels in her back yard, and was only thrown table scraps.
None of the dogs had been socialized.
It takes time and patience, but eventually, I think I can get my Malchi Livee to socialize with humans.

I adopted my Malchi Barney a year ago. The adoption agency said "Terrier Mix". After doing some research, I am confident that Barney is a Malchi. He is the sweetest dog ever. He does not need a leash, he listens very well and will not run off. I often joke and say hes part rabbit because he always hops when he's really excited, or bucks like a horse. He is the best snuggler and makes a very wonderful pet!

I picked my rescued Malchi Daisy up at the South LA shelter on Wednesday, 12 September 2012, 3 days ago.She is already part of the family and part of the pack, which includes a Great Pyrenees (140 lbs), a Great Dane (125 lbs), a Boxer-Lab (80 lbs), a cat, and four horses. Daisy gets along with everyone, goes on walks, came shopping with me today, and sleeps with me, the Dane and the cat. Most amazing 6 lbs of personality, trust and love I have ever witnessed. ♥
