Lexi is my 9 month old mini beagle/maltese cross. I brought her home when she was 11 weeks old. I ran across the breeder's advertisement in the newspaper and it caught my interest because I had never heard of this cross before. Once I went to the breeders website, I completely fell in love. She is the most wonderful dog I have ever had. She is full of personality and energy. She definately keeps me on my toes because she is so intelligent and finds ways to get into everything. She also has the most entertaining bark. It is a mixture of a typical small dog yap with a hound dog howl at the end. Everyone who hears it finds it amusing. She is so loving and affectionate. She has been a great addition to my home.

I found the sweetest, not to mention the cutest Maltese Beagle mix puppy ever. I happened to have found her in a newspaper add and actually ended up rescuing her from a puppy mill.
I have never seen an animal that is so calm and loving and yet at the same time spunky and playful with both my children and my one and a half year old Shih Tzu. Very smart little animal! I am truly blessed to have our new addition to our family!

Gordie is a 10 week old Maltese Beagle mix and the sweetest thing ever. He plays hard once you get him going, but more than happy to just cuddle and pass out in your arms.
He looks predominately like a Beagle, but hopefully will train like a Maltese! Here is a photo of him at 8 weeks.

My Maltese Beagle cross is all white with just a few spots off lite tan. She is very lovable likes go be held like a baby and when carried she will sit on hip just like a child. She will entertain herself with a tennis ball or her favorite squeak toy. Really has Maltese. Looks hair doesn't shed but will mat up fast. She was very easy to housetrain and does understand simple words but really obeys Spanish.

I always wondered what mix Doger. Today I found it - he is a Maltese Beagle mix.
Dodger was very playful from the start then grew to be a hunter using his nose. He can sniff out anything and anyone...
When my husband gets home and Dodger is not around... my husband can walk out and leave then Dodger will come bounding around then catch his scent and follow his exact footsteps to the actual step... he can sniff him out from aywhere...
Dodger is also intelligent... he knows exactly how to catch our attention... we will come home from walking Dodger will run to drink water his leash catching by the cabinet (this happens all the time) then he will howl/bark to come help...
So when he wants my husband's attention Dodger will run to his water bowl and howl/bark for my husband to come rescue him...then Dodger will return to the front door to see if he came in... if not, then he will repeat the same thing until my husband comes in.
I'm not a crazy person with this one (at least I dont think)... we need to spell words in front of him because if use the words; "park", "toy", "let's go", "outside", "walk"... he will turn to look at the person who said the word and start bouncing like crazy - if we say the word "bath" - there he goes straight under the recliner and will not come out for nothing - not even a treat.
Yes thes are just habits and sounds they pick-up but Maltese Beagle mix dogs ARE very intelligent. Thanks for letting me share.

Bailey is an 8 year old Maltese Beagle. His color is blonde and he is very soft. Everyone that pets him, loves how soft he is. He sheds very little and gets groomed evey 4 months. He is very lovable, loyal, playful and very good with children. He also loves chasing squirrels and rabbits. That is his beagle quality but he does not bark and howl like a beagle. He is a quiet friendly baby like a Maltese.
