Papi is a 3 year old Maltese Shitzu dog. He loves his yellow ball. He takes it everywhere and always greets us at the door with it. He chases this ball and wants you to throw it all the time. He loves to take naps with us. He loves to cuddle and be on our laps. He is also a great guard dog. Nothing come near the house without Papi letting us know. He loves to run in our backyard and can not have any bird or any other animal being there.
Our Maltese Shitzu is very attached to my wife. His eyes follow her every movement. If she leaves the room and is gone for a long time he will go and find her. If she leaves the house and I am still here, he becomes my dog. He was very easy to train. He loves to eat and we have found that we can only feed him twice a day. He comes when call. But sometimes you have to bribe him with a treat especially if there is something in the yard that he is investigating. We really love this little guy. He does weigh 15 pounds which was more than we expected. He is very strong and you can lose when playing tug of war with a toy.
Papi sleeps with us at night. He places his head on my wife left shoulder and when she is gone he does cuddle with me. What a great addition to our lives. Our Maltese Shitzu mix is very much loved and we take great care of him. He is groomed once a month and then bath once two weeks after we have him groomed. Great Pet.

Well I have a 4mo old Malshi dog and he's amazing. He has a great personality when im sad he seems to know it and goes and starts jumping and doing really funny stuff to make me laugh it always works.:) When he's not playing or following me around hes just a sleepy head and goes to sleep, sometimes with his belly upside up or he just crosses his two front paws and lays down his head on his paws. My Malshis really funny sleeping or not hahaha. I just love him. He listens which makes him a really good boy he understands when I talk to him in Spanish, Italian, and English. He's such a loveable, caring, smart, funny dog but sometimes he just loves to be in the cold and sleep. There's not a day when my Maltese Shihtzu puppy doesn't surprise me with something new, I love him :)

Hi! My name is Bowie and I'm a Maltese Shihtzu rescue. When I was born my mommy didn't want me and I didn't get to eat for almost 3 days. When I was adopted I had almost no hair, severely under weight and had to be force fed. It was scary for awhile and my new mommy and daddy worried about me all night and day.
With constant love and affection from my mommy and daddy, I started to eat dry food and rehydrate. I was starting to feel like a new puppy. I started to grow my fur, build strong bones and muscles and play with all of my new toys. On my third trip to see my doctor, they couldn't believe I was the same Maltese Shihtzu dog. Everyone was so impressed about how healthy I am and that I have gained 4lbs since the first time they saw me.
I love my life and am so glad to have been adopted by my family. Now my favorite things to do is to give you lots of kisses, play with my brother and sister and run around outside with my buddies. I've got the life!

Boris is an absolutely lovely male Maltese Shih Tzu dog. He is one year old and we got him when he was just a tiny puppy. He is extremely clever, and knows loads of good tricks like spin, rollover and hi-5 but he is also a really affectionate and loyal but loving dog. He is very yappy and likes people to know who he is but everyone loves him! I love Malshi!

Daisy Doo is a great Malshi dog and smart as a whip. She was very easy to house train and teach tricks too. I do have a question about her. Her hair seems to grow in matts. That is right her hair is matted up and at first I thought maybe it was the puppy coat but after my Malshi dog's first cut her hair grew back the same in big matts. Is there anything that can be done about this?
Ellie is our 2 year old Maltese Shitzu dog and has been a absolute joy to have in our family. She adapts to anything that we are doing.
Our Maltese Shitzu is very smart, lovable, patient, happy, always seems to have a "smile", gets along great with everyone and other dogs.

Benny was a Maltese Shih Tzu rescue puppy that we acquired through a local rescue league. Being that we have two older Maltese dogs in our home we weren't sure what to expect. Although he has more energy than his older brothers we see a difference in them for the better.
Fast forward we have had Benny for two years now and couldn't imagine our lives with out him. He is the life of the party and makes friends everywhere he goes. He is incredibly clever so we need to watch him closely. We've found him on more than one occasion sitting in the car waiting for us as we were frantically searching for him. He also loves boating. All we have to say is "let's go on the pontoon" and he's there in a heart beat.
He loves kids and is very tolerant of our six year old grand daughter. Especially when she wants him to play dolls with her and makes him wear a diaper... yes true!
Based on our experience with Benny it has opened up the doors for other Malshi's to be rescued by our friends. I would highly recommend a Malshi but be forewarned they can be hand full as puppies and be prepared to have your heart stolen... no refunds there.

We had our Malshi dog Lulu since she was eight weeks. She is very playful but has a little temper and she has a little bad habit. She likes to go out to the back yard and she bring inside the house all kinds of rocks, sticks, leafs you name it. She still pees on a pad. Occasionally our Malshi dog goes out to pee but she goes poo outside. She has long hair which she gets dirty a little too often and she loves to dig. She is four months and weights 10 pounds her color is mostly white but has a little brown and black on her ears and tail. I would say Maltese Shih tzus are definitely and indoor dogs.

Liberty was a lost adult dog (1 1/2 year old) that we adopted. Our Malshi was obviuosly, instantly grateful to be part of our family. She has a brother who is a feline Ragdoll. She loves him. She gives him kisses on the face several times daily. Liberty has a gentle and sweet personality. She is extremely clever. Playful as any dog I've ever met. Our Malshi loves toys!
We feel so lucky to have her. We love her completely.

I got my sweet boy when he was 10 weeks old. My male Maltese Shih Tzu is beautiful and smart! He was housebroken very quickly, but it took consistancy. I took him out every two hours.
My Malshi loves to chew and will pick up anything from the ground on our walks. I was going to rename him Hoover! Rocks, bugs, worms and slugs! YUCK. But he loves people and other dogs. Wants to play tug and fetch all day!
Coco is very smart and did well in his puppy training classes. Very sweet dog. We Love him so much.
