Maltese Silky Terrier Mix - Pippa

Pippa is the sweetest dog you will ever meet. My Maltese Silky Terrier mix she goes people fall in love with her. People will often stop me when walking her and want to pet her and say how beautiful she is :) She absolutely loves people... she likes children as well, but can be a little shy of loud children. She has never been aggressive toward them though. Pippa is a true lap dog. She is happiest when she is either on a lap or beside us. Don't underestimate her though! Shes VERY intelligent and loves to learn, and learns quickly. She loves to play, or snuggle. She seems to feed off of whatever mood we are in, if we are playful, she's all for it. However if we are settled and on the couch she's right there with us.

We couldn't have asked for a better companion for us. She is truly a joy to have. We feel blessed to have her.

I wouldn't recommend a Silkese for anyone who doesn't have a lot of time for a dog, but that really applies to all breeds. Also if you are a family with children that tend to be loud/aggressive, then you may want to look into another breed as I fear that environment wouldn't suit a Silkese. All around though, an amazing little dog.

Also Pip at her full grown weight is 7.6 pounds, and perfectly healthy.

Maltese Silky Terrier Hybrid - Ted

I adopted my Maltese Silky Terrier hybrid dog Ted when he was 2 1/2 years old. I fell in love with him right away! he has a very loving personality. I sometimes take him to work with me. I work in a nursing home and he loves the attention he gets from the residents. He has his favorites there too. He will sometimes stop and sit in front of a wheelchair to socialize and get picked up. He is such a good dog.

Maltese Silky Terrier - Cocey

Our Maltese Silky Terrier dog is very cute. When it is bathtime he looks at you with droopy eyes, he does not like to get wet at all. In fact he does not like to walk on wet grass! Cocey loves having a brush though!

Our Silkese loves to go for walks or rather runs in the local rec area. He will eat anything and eats like he has never eaten in his life before. We taught or Maltese Silky Terrier mix to shake hands and he does it well. When he is being scolded he will often plead for mercy by shaking his paw in the air. For he knows we love this. He indeed is a real little digger as well.

Cocey loves being with people and will sit real close to them. He is afraid of thunder storms and finds comfort if you place out a cardboard box with high sides, into the box you place something soft and warm. Once he is snuggled inside and after you gently and quietly say you will be alright, he has a nice rest.

On one walk a noisy motor bike come zooming around us, Cocey even though he is a small dog acted very large and ran after the motor bike barking wildly at it. Or Silky Terrier Maltese does the same thing with our whipper snipper.

His fur does get matted, and at times needs knots cut out. Cocey does have personality as well as chocolatey melting pleading eyes.

Maltese Silky Terrier Mix - Darcy

My Dog Darcy is a Maltese Silky Terrier mix. He is 6 months old and a gorgeous dog full of personality and has a very sweet nature. He loves to play and chew he also loves lots of cuddles. We call him our dancing dog because as soon as we come home he dose this little tap dance at the front door.

He loves to walk on the treadmill and to fetch his ball. Darcy has a running attack where he just runs like a rabbit around the house four about 5 minutes then just sits down and goes to sleep. He is just full of energy, personality, and definitely has the cute factor going on. We love him and he has been a great addition to our family. We love this Maltese mix!!!!

Maltese Mixed with Terrier - Misty

I have had my Maltese mixed with Terrier girl Misty for 9 years and she is the most precious, lovable, gorgeous dog I have ever met... not just because she is mine, she acts like a human lol, she will give me a look when i change the channel, she lovessssssssssssss watching CRIME SHOWS! HAHA she growls at all the bad guys on tv!!!! She loves loves loves to kiss people, everyone, anyone! She loves her cuddles and gets mad if u take her side of the bed lol (mad as in... growls and pushes your feet with her butt so you can move) she is just a cute, funny little fattie who loves her food, walks, play... she may be 9 but she still thinks she's a pup! IF YOU WANT THE MOST AFFECTIONATE DOGS ,WELL BEHAVED,LITTLE GUARD DOGS WHO WOULD PROTECT YOU WITH THERE LIFE GO FOR MALTESE SILKY TERRIER BABY LIKE MINE BEST BEST BESTTTT DOGS EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HAVE A DAUGHTER BUT MY MISTY IS MY OTHER ONE. I JUST LOVE HER TOO MUCH! as u see in the photo... this is how she sleeps... she gets up on either me or my daughter, falls asleep and waits until I take her to bed lol.

Silky Maltese Mix Dog - Mojoe

I love my Silky Maltese mix dog... MR PERFECT is name is Mojoe! He is so sweet, and love to be loved. He is very playful, and graves attention. He does not like to be left alone, he love to be with Mommy... This mixed dog breed is perfect for a very spoiled pet!

Silky Terrier Cross - Pumpkin

Pumpkin was given to the family last year, just a few days after Christmas. She is a Maltese Silky Terrier cross.

She's such an energetic and happy little munchkin :3 Every time she sees me, she goes hysterical
( in a good way ;)) and it's so cute how she wags her little tail. She always lies on her back so I can give her belly rubs. I love how I can always hug her or hold her like a baby at any time when I need it, and how she always tries to lick my face XD
And I'm the only person in my family who calls her 'my baby'. XD After all, she is my baby :)


When my parent's aren't home, sometimes, I let her play in my bedroom and on my bed :3
I want her to cuddle up against me in bed when I'm having a nap, but she's too active for that.
Sometimes I wish she was one of those lazy dogs, so I can have naps with Pumpkin all the time, but Pumpkin is beautiful just the way she is, hehe.


I remember the time when my family tried to take her for a walk, the leash fell off!
It took my dad more than 30 minutes to catch her, and Pumpkin was so scared that she took a dump on my father's jeans :")

My Maltese Silky mix thinks he is the king of the house. He thinks everything and everybody belongs to him. Even my big lab and my big Husky mix bow down to him.

Maltese Silky Terrier Mix - Coco

Coco is a Maltese Silky terrier mix. Her fur is a bleached blond color, long, with black highlights on the tips. Her fur looks as if it has been frosted!

Coco is rambunctious. She runs through the house at breakneck speed and with abandon so much so that we have had to put pillows on either side of doorways and archways to prevent collisions. She is lovable, not cuddly, loves to lick and sit in our lap only when she wants to.

My Maltese Silky Terrier is trainable but determined to have her way. We're having a time trying to convince her of who is the "leader of the pack." She responds to praise but will not eat treats, so training is something of a challenge. We're still hoping to find a treat she will eat.

Coco loves to take walks and ride in the car in her crate.

She is the joy of our life. What an adventure we're having with her!
