Maltese West Highland Puppies - Bailey
by Andrea
(PA)
Just got his first haircut
Bailey is a 3 month Highland Maltie or Maltese West Highland puppy. We got him at the age of 8 weeks. It seemed like he got use to us right away. He is very smart and full of energy; he loves to play and give kisses. We also recently learned he like to swim.
Before I got Bailey I had heard of a Maltese, but not a Westie. I realize I have seen them before and didn't know their breed. I would recommend this breed to anyone their absolutely wonderful.
Maltese Westie Puppies - Nancy Regan
by Rebecca Trivino
(Pasadena, Texas, USA)
The cutest of all Maltese Westie puppies
Nancy Regan is a doll... she has a sweet disposition with a spunky attitude like alot of Maltese Westie puppies.
She is extremely close to me and follows me everywhere!
She loves her toys and loves to go out for walks... being a puppy still, she gets really excited and sometimes "pees" with her excitement.
She seems to have the best of both her mommy the Westie and her daddy the Maltese... though her coat has a mind of its own... and she does not like her coat brushed but feels good after the task.
Nancy is a great addition to our family and look forward to her growing into a great dog...no matter how small she stays...though at 19 weeks now, she is 9.2 pounds and growing!
Highland Maltie Puppy - Envy
by Jes

My Highland Maltie puppy is 10 weeks old and very energetic. He is so playful with other dogs and LOVES people.
We are working on potty training and learning basic commands. It is an ongoing process but we are having a fun time together.
Highland Maltie Puppy - Maggie
by Sandi
(Mequon, WI, United States)
Maggie is a 3 month Highland Maltie. We adopted her from our local Humane Society. The Humane Society bought out a puppy mill and will be taking in over one thousand dogs.
Maggie is a wonderful dog. She is very good with our children and loves people. She is very calm for a puppy. I would like to learn more about her breeds.
Maltese Westie Pups - Louie
by Debora Romo
(San Antonio, TX)
Louie is a delight and one of the best Maltese Westie pups around. He brought a lot of happiness to our home. He has a playful and lively temperament and love to go out for walks.
Sometimes my husband and I were not ready yet to take him out so we started playing games.
My husband would say:"When do you want do go out for a w-a-l-k?" , so he couldn't get all excited and started barking before we were ready to go out.
So happens that he learned how to spell the word walk and now our Maltese Westie mix knows what we are talking about and get all excited and start barking and running around knowing we are going to take him for a walk.
For this reason we started playing another game. We say that in Spanish and are waiting to see what happens...

Maltese Mix West Highland Puppies - Dasher
Dasher at 3 months
Dasher is one of the most incredibly friendly and energetic Maltese mix West Highland puppies. He loves to be around people and he's always heavy on the kisses. Dasher loves to run around and play but he's also a great lap dog.
Highland Maltie Puppy - Charlie
by Charlotte Evans
(United Kingdom)
I have a Highland Maltie puppy and he is so cute! He is only 9 weeks old at the moment and is so adorable. He loves to play with toys and he's gotten into a habbit of dragging paper and letters around the room. He is a bundle of fluffy white fur!
I got my Maltese Westie mix at 8 weeks old and only have a picture of him at around 6 and a half weeks at the breeders. I called him Charlie because my name is Charlotte, and I thought it would be cute. Not very good at 'potty training' yet, but I'm sure we'll get there!
Can't wait till I can take him for nice walks in the park!
My Highland Maltie puppy is such a cutie and loves to run around - very energetic! I'm so glad I chose him, this Maltese mix breed may need a little hard work in looking after. But it's all part of the love. I love my little pup and wouldn't change him for the world now! He's just a little bundle of joy to look after.
Early in the mornings Charlie wakes up and howls for attention, but I don't mind!

Highland Maltese Puppy - Zuni
by Ashley JE Thomas
(North Platte, NE)
My name is Ashley and today on 9-26-10 I bought my first Highland Maltese puppy. I had seen people sitting around with these Maltese West Highland mix pups and had to stop they were just too cute. When I sat on the ground the littlest one ran up to me and sat on my lap and played. My heart was sold! I payed for him and brought him home.
Our Maltese Highland puppy is only 8 weeks old and he has been sleeping alot and eating but other than that he is a very livily dog who plays in the yard with my husband. He is already following me around I have never had a pup get so attached to me and my family so fast. Zuni is the best thing that has happened to your family!!!

Maltese Westie Puppy - Almond
by Clare
(Singapore )
Almond at 7mths old
My Maltese Westie puppy Almond is like a busy bumble bee... always busy digging around, jumping between the sofas and table. She loves to be around people and play fetches. My Maltese Westie mix also loves her daily walk and climb a flight of stairs (of overhead bridges) and a good workout gives her a good sleep. She has the features of a Westie except her almond colour dolly eyes of the Maltese.
Maltese Westie Pup - Bella
by Kelly-Marie
(Adelaide, South Australia, Australia)
My little Maltese Westie pup is only 5 months, but already thinks she rules the world. Very confident, it's a shock when she discovers she can't do something and she gets very determined to achieve it (single-minded). Very smart, picks up things (tricks and training) quickly.
She has a very sweet personality (loves to play and cuddle), but is shy around strangers (both people and other animals), preferring her own family circle. Has the habit of trying to wrap herself around my neck when meeting new people.
Very Westie in appearance (ears are trying to stand up right now), she has the soft fur of the Maltese. She was groomed only 2 weeks ago and fur is already growing out (extremely quick).
Smallest member of household, she has our Labrador wrapped around her paw.

Maltese Westie Mix Puppy - Addie
by Madi B.
(NC)
I have a Westie Maltese mix puppy named Addie. She is a female, and she is only 3 weeks old. I will visit her for the first time when she is about 5 weeks old. I have never seen her before, not even in pictures, I have just been told what she looks like. I do know that she is white though! Addie will move into her new home when she is about 8 weeks old.
When I meet Addie, I will be sure to show everyone pictures! Also, I will update them when she comes home! Wish us luck, and if you have ANY tips, please do not hesitate to tell! (This is the first time I have had a small breed dog of my own, but I have lived around a few before.) So please, if there is anything I need to know!
I have been doing some researching on the Westie, and Maltese breeds. I have gotten a bit confused on size predictions though. Addie's current owner (The one who is selling her to me.) says she will get no bigger than 7 pounds. (Please keep in mind, her litter was only 2 pups including herself, and she was smallest out of the two.) BUT- The Westie breed is a dog that is bigger than the Maltese. So... how big is my dog going to get? This site says she will get 11-16lbs... but her breeder says different.
If you can help me out, or have some advice on my new Maltese Westie mix mini mutt, post a comment here!
