Maltipom - Marina
by Kristine Groves
(San Jose, CA)
Marina as a Puppy at the Park
I had been dying to get a dog after I moved out. Being that I lived in a smaller apartment, I thought that a small dog would work well for me.
I was visiting Monterey, Ca on the warf with my girlfriends where a family was showcasing their Maltipom puppies for sale! (This is how I decided on her name) The father was a small carmel colored Pomeranian, and the mother was a beautiful Maltese. These puppies were the cuties little fluff balls! and everyone on the warf was drawn to the family of puppies. The second I picked up Marina I fell in love with her carmel colored eye lashes, and big brown eyes...there was no way that I could deny her.
She is a beautiful cream color with hints of carmel color on her ears and tail. She was playful and very curious, and I knew that we would be instant companions. At first, Marina was very difficult to handle. She was extremely hyper, and and hated to sleep (which I hear that most puppies love to do!...not her!) She whined at night and required a lot of attention, she also was difficult to potty pad train. I had taken the advice of Cesar from dog whisperer and introduced grass and commands to use the potty. Now I take her outside say "go potty" and she goes!
After a lot of work and patience, Marina has developed into a very smart/ obedient dog! She is the love of the dog park. She would rather jump on the laps of all the
owners because they all rant and rave at how cute and soft she is, and she would rather the petting and praise then play with the other dogs! Maltipoms can become difficult to keep clean and groomed, but they do not shed, and she is softer than a bunny rabbit. I take her to the groomer regularly every 6-8 weeks, with baths/blow drys between)
She is 4.5lbs full grown so I have had to be really careful with choosing a groomer because we have had some very bad experiences with her soft skin. So do your research!
By the way, Marina has developed a nick name from my husband from a very bad haircut that i had attempted. I trimmed her face hair too much and she looked like she had a shrunken head...so her name became "beetlejuice" and cut down to "beetle." She entertains herself by picking up her toys with her mouth and tossing it with the flip of her head, it is the cutest thing in the world! She has calmed down a lot after her spay, but she can still tend to have her hyper moments!
I've always treated her like a "big dog" and have taken her everywhere with me. She is confident and lovable with everyone she comes in contact with, especially small children. She is so carefree! She is now almost 2 years old and I could go on and on how cute and amazing she is! I cant express enough how much I love my dog, and how lucky I was to find such a gem!
Muppet the Maltipom
by Joyce
(Australia)
Our Maltipom Muppet is 6 years old and was given to me as a surprise Xmas present when she was 2 months old. Her 'big brother' is Jack, a Jack Russell/Fox Terrier cross who is 7 years old and came to us when he was 1.
When I first got Muppet she was very quiet and a complete snuggle bum. Within a few months she clearly decided to be the top dog and rule the roost. She is a complete Mummy's girl but will snub me if she can't get her own way. She knows that it is Daddy who will sneak her treats so always aims for his lap when he has a cup of coffee and a biscuit!
Jack taught her to run after a ball and play 'fetch'. When she comes out of the bush without her ball and I tell her to go find it, she goes back in and then looks at it and barks to tell me where it is. She will also bark to let me know if her food or water bowl is empty or if she needs to go out. She does tend to be a barker and usually sets Jack off. She will bark when people come into the garden but once they are in the house she is quite happy to make use of their lap.
She loves my grandchildren to bits and gets so excited when they come. Both dogs have always slept in the laundry at night and we have never had any problems. She HATES being bathed but makes a beeline for the water when I take her down the beach. She also objects to being groomed, having her hair cut and being put into kennels when we go away. She will ignore me for at least a day after I pick her up, even if I don't drop her off in the first place. She is a tri-colour and VERY pretty, but knows it. She walks like Lady from 'Lady and the Tramp'.
Because of her size we cuddle her like a baby because she loves to lay in your arms on her back. She may be upset soon as I am about to get a Maltelier puppy but no other dog could ever replace her in my heart.
George the Maltipom
by Tammie
(Tennessee)
George is a very spunky and athletic little Maltese Pomeranian mix. He has been a joy to have as our first family pet. He was very easy to train. He does have one problem that we cannot seem to tame. He barks viciously at all moving vehicles as they are driving by the house. He only barks at the cars-no people or other pets. I can no longer take him for a walk during heavy traffic hours as he is uncontrollable.
He sleeps with us in our bed and has been the best pet ever except for that one minor issue.
Maltipom - Kaia Noelle Allen
by Heather Allen
(Fordoche, LA USA)
My Maltipom baby girl Kaia is 1 year old and she is such a little princess. Well behaved and gets along great with her akc Maltese big brother.
She was given to me as a puppy when her owner had back surgery and could not take care of her. She is such a little spitfire and she and her brother are a joy!! I find she has more of a Malts personality!!
Smart Maltipom - Bogey
The smartest Maltipom ever!
Bogey is very smart and learns very quickly. My Maltipom is the most loyal dog I have ever owned. I am handicapped and my friend bought him for me so I would have a companion.
He is a great friend, loves everyone but is very loyal to me. Is by my side wherever I go. He does bark way too much, but we are working on that.
Everyone that meets him wants to take him home. Even my groomer says he is the cutest dog she grooms.

MaltiPom - Bella
by Jane
(Orono, MN)
Bella the MaltiPom and her KiKi
Bella is a Pomeranian Maltese mix. She is the most intelligent and affectionate dog I have ever had and I have had dogs since I was 5. I am 47 now.
She loves to do everything with our family. She loves going "bye bye" in the car and rides behind my neck. We live on a lake and she even swims and boats! We have two other dogs, an 80 pound golden retriever (12 yrs old) and a Grek mutt (3 yr old) that Bella bosses round constantly. It is a hoot.
Bella sleeps in bed with my husband and I with her head on a pillow and under the covers. She has her own "kiki" (blankie) and loves chew toys. She has a stash of toys under a futon in our home office.
She is a character and I don't know what life would be like without her. My two daughters just walked in with her one day without notice. They knew we didn't want to add to our menagerie, but knowing Bella, we sure do love her!

Maltipom - Mojo
(Ireland)
Mojo is the newest addition to our family... He's a Maltipom (Maltese Pomeranian mix) and getting more beautiful every day! He's 3 and a half months old, and weighs 2.5lbs!
My Maltipom has got a very soft personality, gentle and loving. He's smart too, having just mastered how to Fetch his ball! The vet thinks he'll stay pretty teeny forever!
Angel - Maltipom
by Anita
(Newfoundland, Canada)
Dressed up with our neice
Angel is very cuddly. Her mother is all Maltese 6lb's and her father is a Pomeranian terrier 4.5lb's, which is where she got her small size from her dad. When I first got her at 7 weeks old she had a black face, head, ears. Her legs, chest under body and tail was white along with the back or her neck and bum and above her tail. In the middle of her back she had a rust color. Her brother was all off white and her sister was white with black spots even on one eye.
I liked Angel for her tricolor. She is now 13.5 months old a little over a year. She is now almost all white, her face, head is white. The white in her stayed white and the rust grew out to be off white the black except the ears grew out to be white. The ears are less and less black. The rust is a different texture then the rest of her.
She is a very cuddly quite dog that plays ball in the basement and outdoors with me. She sleeps with us on my pillow. So I got a 3/4 length pillow. She loves to go for a walk and when she decides to run, boy can she run. For the first 6 months she would whine in the car. Now when you say do you want to go for a drive in the car she will run for the door.
She has herself wrapped around my boyfriend's little finger. He takes her in his car to work as he works from his car just about every day. She is not a yappy dog. She will let you know someone is at the door or if she hears something in the night. She doesn't care that she is only 4.5lb's.
She does not shed and loves to meet someone new or old. She no longer sees me at the door when I leave for work. She stays in our bed after being out for the washroom and we say goodbye to her there. She don't come to the door and whine that I'm leaving like she used to. However she goes crazy for me when I come home. She will kiss me like crazy and after the welcome is over she doesn't kiss anymore but wants to play and cuddle and sleep on her cushion.
I have doggy steps for her for our bed and for our chesterfield. Before I got the doggy steps she would whine alot to get up and down because she either wouldn't or couldn't jump and doesn't. We put carpet tiles down one on each step in the house for her to go up and down on because she wouldn't or couldn't do the hardwood floor. She still will only use the carpet pieces and the doggy steps. This is good because jumping down for short legged dogs is hard on their legs and could cause problem as the get older. She should have no problems with that because she does not jump or need too.
I have been told she is the perfect dog and of course I believe that to be true.

Maltipom - Murphy
by Bann
(Ft. Worth)
Murphy is our 18 month old Maltipom. We are first time dog owners and she couldn't have been a better choice. She is loyal, affectionate, great with strangers and the grandkids.
She loves to go everywhere with us and waits for us to return home from work every day. Just today we took her with us to the pet store and two little girls just went crazy over her as she tried to play with them and kiss them.
She has been a picky eater and she was a bit hard to potty train but those were minor inconveniences compared to the love she showers us with. Everyone who meets her falls totally in love including her groomer and vet.
Smart Maltipom - Triscuit
by Christy
(Orlando)
My Maltipom is the most loving and expressive dog I have ever come across. Triscuit really is quite the people pleaser and is her happiest when all eyes and focus are on her.
She loves to snuggle in bed, and is friendly with other dogs. She is weary of big dogs and will cry if one comes bouncing up to play, but can handle herself with small to medium sized dogs. Triscuit is not much of a barker either, but she will whine at you to get your attention at what she wants.
She is now 10 months old and is well trained in my opinion. She can shake hands, play dead, speak and knows key phrases like "walk", "it's time to go to bed", "ride", "food", etc. Due to the small size she is extremely portable, easy to carry around, and most importantly easy to clean.
Beware of the fine hair these little dogs possess. You really do have to groom daily or terrible knots do occur. Maltipoms are extremely smart and aren't afraid to ask for some affection. I wouldn't trade mine for anything.
Sweet Maltipom - Princess Skyy
by Crystal Hart
(Holley ny)
Skyy is a three year old Maltipom. We got her when she was just 7 weeks old and not even 1 pound.
She is the sweetest, most loving, nurturing dog we have ever known. She loves her big brother Blue our Rottie and to watch the play together is so funny that we often turn off the t.v. and just enjoy the comedy in our living room.
She loves everyone and won the hearts of all of our "big dog" only friends and family. She has truly been the best blessing ever.

Maltipom with Personality - Mugsy
by Corinne
(Plymouth, MN)
Mugsy
Mugsy, my Maltipom is a wonderful dog whom everyone is drawn to when we go out. We have 5 dogs total, 3 Poms, 1 Pom Yorkie mix and then Mugsy and everyone always wants to know about him.
I got him as a puppy and he had some medical problems but once diagnosed with IBD and food allergies we were able to get it under control with a prescription diet. It is now 6 years later and he has no problems.
He has the neatest personality, is very loving, and gets along with all of his brothers and sisters. He has one ear that flops over and when you talk to him he tilts his head, it is so cute!
I keep him in a puppy cut and that seems to work best. He even has pajamas for the winter (can get cold here in Minnesota) and he will actually wait for you to put them on before he goes in his kennel at night to go to bed.
Ruby the Maltipom
by Jillian
(Canada)
Ruby the princess!
My Maltipom Ruby is the nicest, most precious dog you could ever meet! She literally loves EVERYONE and is your typical girl.
Her favorite past times include going to the dog park, sleeping in hot towels, eating, and wresting with her big brother Shadow.
Spunky Maltipom - Iggy
by Kelly
(Davenport, IA, US)
We adopted our Maltipom Iggy about 7 months ago. We don't know much about her except that she has been a true blessing to our family. She is so sweet and full of spunk.
We think she is 5 years old and has a great personality and loves being with the family. She doesn't like being alone and I literally have a shadow wherever I go. She minds very well and just a great dog all around.
We lost our full breed Maltese a little over a year ago and when Iggy came to our lives, she reminded me so much of our little Allie. We sure love her and the kids absolutely adore her!
Maltipom - Capri
by Tammy
(Avondale AZ)
Capri tired from a long day of pampering
Capri not happy about the bows.
Capri is a 1 year old Maltipom I received as a birthday gift when Capri was 6 weeks old. My daughter brought her into me in a gift bag and Capri was poking out with her little paws on the side like she knew she was a gift. When I saw her I instantly fell in love. My Maltese Pomeranian loves car rides. when she gets in the car she jumps behind my neck like a neckrest and sits there the entire car ride. She recognizes when we are at Petsmart and start whining because she wants out of the car. She will jump off my neck and sit in my lap and flip back onto her back feet so I can put my arm around her tummy and carry her. Sometimes she goes in on the lease and she pulls her way into the petstore. She absolutely loves Petsmart. One time she was sitting on my shoulders and we were at a red light and she started growling like mad. I look over and my Maltipom was growling at one of those giant voting banners. She did not like the giant face on the picture and she was being protective. Capri also is a good tattle tale, if my kids are out late she will bark when they come in to let me know they were out longer then they were allowed, also if they get out of bed after bedtime, she runs to them and barks at them as to tell them get back to bed. I totally love my Maltese Pomeranian mix puppy and think she is the neatest dog ever. Best birthday present I could ever receive. :)
Smart and Stubborn Maltipom - Paris
by Courtney
(Florida)
Paris the Maltipom has a very different personality. She's very smart, but very stubborn. She learns tricks very fast and very well. She loves running around, and loves walking through mud.
She loves any animal, any size. She barks when she hears the doorbell or a knock, even on TV! haha. She has a Pom tail but the Malti face. She loves chewing on stuff and tearing up things too haha (:
Laid Back Maltipom - McKinney
by Ericka
(TN)
months after we got her
I came across this breed when I was looking for a Maltipoo. I found a picture on the web of the cutest puppy ever and knew I just had to have her. So we picked up our Maltipom just over 4yrs ago. I have to say that my husband and I love dogs but we tended to get them and give them away for various reasons. We never really got attached but that has all changed.
Mckinney is the coolest dog ever and I am not the only one who says so. Every where she goes to get groomed or if we have left her with a sitter, and when we have taken her traveling, they all tell us how sweet she is. She never barks except right when someone comes to the door, but stops when we tell her to. She is playful but mostly wants to lay with you and be rubbed. I love that she doesn't jump on all the company like a Maltese and doesn't yip or snap at strangers either like a Pomeranian.
She is a great mix of both personalities... shy and will back away as you try to pick her up but will still let you pick her up without getting angry. I call it being cautious. She never tore up the home and chewed except on an occasion a barbie or something left on the floor that she thought was a toy. Since she was one years old, we have left her out of the crate and even leave her alone in the home. She will on occasion tear up tissue. What's with that??? ha
We keep her puppy cut because it's just so cute. I am not into that long haired foo foo stuff. She is just so sweet and people that have watched her wanted to trade us their dog. She knows when you are sick and will lay with you for hours in your bed. Again this is all from someone who has newly figured out what loving a dog means though we don't treat her like a human...she does know she is a dog, I think..haha. But I can not imagine life without her. We are laid back people, a couple with three children who were 4-10 at the time we got her. I don't know if she is a fluke, or because we are laid back, or if that is the breed.. but I am sold and recommend this hybrid breed for sure.
Oh I wish I could put two pictures up because when she was a puppy early on she was reddish brown and looked like a fox or Ewok from Star Wars... she is now cream but still has a slight brown streak down her back. She's gotten slightly darker as she get's older.
Maltipom - Dan
by Jennifer
(Minnesota)
We adopted Dan from a shelter about 10 days ago. We were not familiar with Maltipoms, but when we visited Dan at the shelter, we loved that he was so happy and so excited to be around people. My husband told Dan, "we're gonna break you outta here, buddy!"... and we took him home about a half hour later.
Our Maltese Pomeranian mix is a year old and is completely potty trained. He comes up and whines and puts his paws on your leg when he needs to go out.
We were worried that he might bark excessively, but he only gives a couple of yelps if someone comes to the door, or if a stranger approaches outside. He doesn't bark at all if he is being held.
We are so happy with our Maltipom. He sleeps quietly all night long with our teenage daughter and kennels really well if we need to run to the store or something.
We have one daughter with slight allergies, but she has had no reaction to Dan(whew!).
What a great friend he is already!
Maltipoms - Stitch and Nala
by Denise Anaya
(Fortuna,Ca USA)
Stitch and Nala
Cassi & Ryan's kids: Brandi and Yager
Denise and her babies
We have two Maltipoms - Stitch and his sister Nala. Nala is smaller and is the queen. She can be a bit of a b__ch. Stitch is full of personality and much mellower. Because we encourage him not to bark, he will talk to us while walking backwards. He back feet scratches then rolls over and places his head on the ground, all the while making these special talking grumbling noices. If you rub his head and back he will talk and grumble and rub his head on the ground. He rolls over and over and always sleeps on his back, causing problems for us because you can not tell the difference between his black nose and his black private parts. Petting him can be a bit awkward. When he knows he is getting a treat, he bounces like 'Tigger" then takes off as fast as he can with his treat in his mouth to get some privacy while he eats. Nala will stand on her hind legs and twirl, dancing for her treat.
Stitch has the long hair of a Maltese with floppy ears. He will matt up if not brushed regularly. Nala's hair is a little shorter with pointed ears like a Pomeranian. Her hair is softer and does not matt. People are surprised that they are from the same litter because they look so different. No matter where we go, we are asked about the pair. We walk them with a connecting lease and Stitch tends to pull Nala because he weighs a pound more. They love people and will sit with anyone who will pet them. They both love our cats and will play with them if provoked.
Our Maltipoms can be a bit yappy when someone comes to the door but as soon as they recognize the guest, they yap to be picked up and cuddled them off they go to socialize.
We have had both dogs for 7 years. Nala first then Stitch because he was not being taken care of by his owner. He has never bitten anyone but Nala will nip if provoked. Even when our daughter and her husband were living with us for several months, Nala was the Queen with Stitch second in command. She has two large pit bulls, Brandi and Yager, which are gentle and obedient. All four were in the house together.
Our Maltipoms Stitch and Nala are the love of our lives - coming from families that have grown up with labs. Our fluff balls are better with older children because they are small and easily hurt.

Maltipom - Oliver
by Ana
(MN)
Oli& I<3
Oliver is a 2 year old Maltipom. He is a great little dog, beyond loving, and affectionate. He is VERY loud. He has quite the bark for a 6lb dog. He is very energetic, in the summer time we go to the 26acre dog park almost every day and he plays for hours. He is VERY good with young children, elderly people, and children with disabilities. Oliver has never bit anyone, he has a little snarl he does to let whomever know that he is getting squeezed too tight. Oliver is the love of my life, the best dog in the world. He has to be by my side at all times. My Maltipom even sleeps with the music on and trust me if it shuts off at all during the night, he is in my face barking to let me know. He gets along with every kind of dog.(I also have a French Bulldog Boston mix).

My baby girl Maltipom is the sweetest little thing ever. She is the most playful little thing and she loves to chase. The funniest thing is that she bounces around the house like a little deer when she is excited. I love my Maltipom so much!!
Maltipom - Rocky Raccoon
by Nicole
(Woodland Hills, CA)
Rocky Raccoon, our Maltipom, is the perfect mix of fun and loyal. He enjoys to play tough with certain people and loves to cuddle with others. He enjoys sleeping in on the weekends, long walks in the park, and loves attention. He enjoys having his belly scratched and his ears rubbed. He loves to sleep next to me and my husband and makes the best foot warmer. Our Maltipom is always happy when my husband and I come home and runs to give us kisses. He is a smart and graceful animal that knows what he can and can't do.
Maltipom - Bruno
by Heather
(Rhode Island)
We got Bruno from a near by store and they told us he was half Maltese and half Yorkie. Come to find out, he really is a Maltipom. I found out by calling the phone number that was on his medical records. I only called to ask why do they have down Polanese and they stated that was another name for Maltipom.
I am not sure if he really is a Maltipom but he is the greatest joy to our house hold. He is a little over 1 yrs old, about 12 pounds and very lovable. He loves his squeaky toys, running, playing in snow and his walks everyday. He is great with kids and other dogs.
He does bark for the first ten minutes when others walk in the house, which we are trying to figure away to calm him down.
Besides the barking, he is the best dog I have ever had and we love him very much.
Maltipom - Tilly

Tilly is a 2 year old female Maltipom. She gets along famously with our 2 cats! She loves to nibble on their whiskers and of course chase them around the house! She is very loving but also an excellent watch dog. Her favorite thing to do is snuggle with us! This is the first Maltipom I have owned & would definitely get another one some day!

To those interested in a Maltipom, please be advised that these dogs DO SHED, A LOT!
I thought she would not shed, but we were wrong, however, I wouldn't trade my fur-baby in for anything, she has a great temperament and is very affectionate.
Miracle Maltipom - Millie
by Paula
(Australia)
Our little Millie
After losing our 12 1/2 year old Maltese from kidney failure, I said no more dogs. We were devastated, but 7 months later I just new I had to have another puppy. We knew somebody that bred Maltipoms so a random phone call was made, they said they had a little 5 week old girl that was not meant to happen, as her mummy was getting too old to breed. We arranged for a visit and I fell in love with her the minute I layed eyes on her. She was so tiny only 125g and was being fed with a supplement. The owners were a little hesitant to give her to me as she was so small, but I convinced them that I would do every thing I could to keep this little angel. I fed our little Maltipom puppy every 3- 4 hours on the dot with a syringe and gave her the best of solid food twice a day. Within a week she had gained 60 g. Each week she gained more and more. On taking her for her vet check they could not believe she survived, but said she was doing nicely. She quickly settled into her new home and just loved all the attention my husband and I were giving her. We even took her to puppy school, but slept on our laps for most of the lessons. As cute as she was every one there just thought she was adorable. We had her spayed at 7 months, but nearly lost her as it took a lot out of her, but she pulled thru yet again. At 16 months old we decided to get a kitten. Well they just are inseparable. They play, eat, and sleep together. Then at 21 months old she got a severe intestinal infection and spent two days in hospital and yet again she pulled through and made a full recovery. She is still only tiny weighing only 2.5 kg but she is the boss of the house and a great little watch dog. We just love our Maltipom unconditionally. She was a gift sent from heaven!

Maltipom - LiL' Man
by Phyllis Estes
(Vancleave, MS)
I couldn't ask for a more loving and playful dog as my Maltipom Lil Man. He is also the most beautiful dog I have ever seen, and he gets adored everywhere he goes!!
He likes to play with all his toys and fetches them. He will bring you one and just sit there until you throw it for him. He also will dance for his treats.. :)
We got him when he was six weeks old. He was the smallest Maltipom puppy they had, and he now weighs only about four pounds fully grown. He had a birthday last week, so I don't think he will get any bigger after his first birthday. He loves us both very much, and likes to be "high up"..so he gets on my husbands chest to sleep!! It's so funny when he climbs up on the highest thing he can find to sleep on. Guess he thinks he is a king..lol.
He is devoted to us and will cry if we have to leave him for even a minute! He is our baby, and we are his best friends.
I recommend Maltese Pomeranian to anyone who wants a loving lap dog and a friend for life. Also he doesn't shed either... even with all that hair! A plus!
I love my baby, and if you want to have a dog that will get noticed, and that loves with all their little heart, then get this breed. You will not be disappointed.

Sweet Maltipom - Ruby
by NIlda Santiago
(Norwalk, CA)
My precious Ruby
This is Ruby! My Maltipom is so precious. She is an Albino. Therefore, she has the pink nose, lips, and ears. She has blue eyes and red pupils.
She is a very sweet dog but does not like to be bothered by other dogs. My Maltipom looks for affection by sitting next to you and rolling over so that you will rub her belly. She is great with kids.
Fun Maltipom - Tibby
by Tammy
(Calgary)
My Maltipom Tibby is the most amusing little dog I have ever come across. Her personality is amazing and fun, shes very smart as well. She learned basic training and tricks very quick, by six months we had everything basic down plus dancing, bunny hopping, rolling over and high five as well.
I would absolutely recommend a Maltipom to someone who wants to spend lots of time and love on a beautiful pup. She does very well with my other dogs as well and cat and is very good with children also. Tibby brightens a room as soon as she enters.
I do say though grooming is a important thing because there hair can get longer and seems to matt easy, yet casual brushing will help tons. I will for sure get another Maltipom in the future.

Maltipom - Truffles
by Teresa
(NC)
We have a teacup Maltipom by the name of Truffles who everyone calls Babies because she is so small and loving.
Our Maltipom looks more Pomeranian. Her ears stand straight up and the fur on her legs is short. The only thing with my Maltipom is her fur, when you bath and brush her she is beautiful after a couple of days even with brushing her fur looks like dreadlocks. I don't know what to do. Do you cut them or do they grow out of it as an adult, she is only 7 months old.
We love her very much she may be small but she does have a little devil in her, not mean she just shows you who's boss. We keep a bell on her collar so you know when she's around and doesn't get stepped on.

Puppers the Maltipom
by Gayle

Zephyrhills, FL
Puppers is a Maltipom. Her mother is Pomeranian and her father is Maltese. She has three brothers. The boys all look like the mother and Puppers is the only one that looks Maltese.
The biggest difference we can see is that her color is a cream rather than the usual pure white that you see in Maltese. However, she is the cutest little thing, very loving, obeys well and loves to play and run.
She will be one year old on October 12th. We got her at 8 weeks and she has been a real joy to us. She was very easy to housebreak and although mischevious from time to time she is well behaved most of the time (BOL).
Special Maltipom - Gentle
by Annette
(Queensland, Australia)
My Maltipom is the first dog I've ever owned, and she's fantastic! I think I could of named her "faithful", for she is just that, never leaves my side, always has to have Mum in sight! She is a yapper, barks at pretty much any strange noise she hears, which can be painful at times
(especially for the neighbors).
Gentle gets on well with my children. They all adore her, except at meal times. I have warned the kids not to play or pat Gentle when eating, she can become snappy and possessive of her food (or her treats, bones etc).
Gentle is now 7 months old,and thank God shes out of that puppy stage... she drove us nuts for the first four months! She has grown up that bit more and doesn't rip everything up like she did. Gentle has the most expressive eyes, she knows everything I say and do, she's a true little friend.
I would say a Maltipom is a one person dog, although Gentle loves everyone in our family, everyone knows, it's Mum she wants!
Amy the Maltipom

Cute Maltipom Pose
My Maltipom Amy came from a responsible breeder who wanted her to have a forever home after having 3 litters. We had to pay to have Amy spayed to prove she was wanted as a pet.
At 4 years old Amy is the most beautiful, loving, smart, funny dog, I have ever met, who loves fresh carrots peeled and washed. Amy is also known to help her self to the cherry tomatoes off the vine. We have only had her for 3 weeks and she is showing us what a trooper she is. Coming from an isolated farm setting to the city has been quite a learning curve. Traffic on the street, walkers and joggers on the chip trail all made Amy cry to be lifted up. This I did to assure her she was safe. On the trail we would go a little further each day and every time we got into new territory she would turn and cry to be picked up again I would reassure her but not carry her.
In the last three weeks Amy has come to trust me and no longer fears a walk in the street when a car passes I just pull the lease a little to let her know I'm there. On the chip trail I can now let her off the lead and she always comes when called. I love to see her free spirit when she runs at great speed and literally flies over clumps of grass with her front paws delicately cross and her back paws straight out.
When getting a cuddle Amy lays her head on your chest and looks up as if you are the most wonderful person in the world. At night when the lights go out and the TV is turned off she races to the bedroom and jumps into her bed so she is there to greet us when we come around the corner. Amy is a very special little girl who has walked in to our hearts.

Pablo and Bebop
Pablo is an inquisitive snuggle bug! My Maltipom is easily the most versatile pocket pooch that anyone could ask for he loves to go running and swimming with his Labrador retriever sister and happily transitions into the attention-loving lap dog he was meant to be. Pablo is a sneaky little guy who is well known for his "drive by" lickings, where he'll smooch your foot, ankle, shoe, or even the wall on his way to chase down his favorite atomic bouncy ball. My Maltipom's larger than life personality shines through with his extremely expressive face and oh-so charming, bewildered head tilt.
Pablo's days are jam packed with rabbit chases, cricket hunts, and of course lobbying for left overs. My Maltese Pomeranian mix is feisty and energetic, yet absolutely loving and devoted.
