My Mcha is almost 9 weeks and one of the cutest Mauxie puppies ever. She weighs 3.2lbs and growing very fast. She was the runt of the litter and I feel in love at first sight.

I just got one of the cutest Mauxie puppies ever! He is 8 weeks old, and is looking more like a Dachshund everyday. He has one brown and one blue eye.
My Mauxie puppy is very loving and playful. He is a easy learner. He loves his mom sooo much and acts just like her.

Mauxie Puppies Valentines 2008
My Mauxie puppy Gracie was born on Thanksgiving Day, 2007 and is now 10 months old. She is soooooo much fun, runs around the house like a maniac at least once a day, just having fun.
She loves to play fetch and tug-of-war with her toys, go on long rides with my husband and me in our 1968 VW Bug and on trips in the RV, chase crickets/bugs in the grass, chase leaves, eat twigs and just enjoys living in general.
We did find out week before last that her right front foot has fused at the wrist and it turns out to the right side. Our vet said this does happen to Dachshunds frequently and we were unfortunate to have this genetic issue show up in her.
The only time we notice it is when she has REALLY played hard and she will limp for 3 or 4 minutes till she "works the kinks out". Sometimes this will occur for a brief time after she has slept in the same position for long periods of time. This seems to happen every 2-3 weeks or so. Has anyone had similar problems?
Here's an update of my Mauxie and how she looks now.

Oscar
We LOVE our 8 week old Mauxie puppy. He is the extremely playful and sweet. So far he has not had any issues with our 2 children or other dog.
I am curious to see what our Mauxie will look like when he is grown. I'm having a hard time finding info on this mixed breed. If anyone has any I would appreciate it. Thanks!
See me as an older Mauxie puppy
Here is Oscar as a 4 month old Mauxie.
Mauxie Puppies - Mya

Happy Mya
I was reluctant to get another dog after my Miniature Pincher died last July, he was 9yrs old, so I waited a year.
A breeder friend of mine's dog was having pups, I told her I didn't want one because my son was 16 now and would be going off to college soon and I needed him to help care for a new puppy. I saw the Mauxie puppies and I couldn't stop thinking about them.
I got Mya at 8 weeks, she is the life of the party. My dad isn't an animal lover but he loves Mya. She is so playful, she doesn't bark, and so loving. I love my Mauxie puppy!
Mauxie Puppies - Zaiden
by Briana Martinez
(Grand Island,Ne)
Zaiden at 6 weeks.
Zaiden is one of the cutest 10 week old Mauxie puppies. His litter was born on Aug. 2nd 2010. He was the only boy with four sisters. He is a very calm well behaved dog, very easy to train and housebreak.
From my experience with Mauxies they are typically very well behaved dogs, great with children and strangers. Zaiden loves playing with his chew toys and loves bones! He is a very cuddly puppy and is one of the best dogs I have ever had, I would recommend a Mauxie to anybody they are a great family dog!

Emmy my Moxie
She is the MOST WONDERFUL dog I have ever owned!! My mum and I breed Dachshunds as well as Maltese and one day we had a Mauxie puppies pop out which we did not realize at the time.
Since we had Nilla we have now turned our focus to Mauxies due to the fact that we absolute LOVE the hybrid breed. They are incredibly smart, loving, attentive and of course cute!

Well, recently we had an ooop's also. My pure bread Maltese female and my best friend's pure bread Doxie, well had a moment.
I was sooo worried what these Mauxie puppies would look like. Luckily, we found your web site!! Oh, the cute puppies and dogs it makes. It was such a relief hearing about their personalities and what a joy they have been to their owners.
What I would love is to talk with someone who had the female Maltese in the litter. I would love to know how their labor was. I have horror stories about Maltese having to have c-sections because of their size.
Also, if someone could give me an idea of puppy cost, I am lost here.
Thank-you sooooo much for reading, pics of my baby to follow and I love this site!

Mauxie Puppies - Leila Love
by Shaun
(New Jersey)
Leila the Mauxie blissfully asleep on a shoe!
Leila is one of the best 2 and 1/2 month old Mauxie puppies and from the moment I saw her, I fell in love!
She hasn't been with us very long, but she is a very social puppy... with both humans and dogs. She gets along great with my two small children. Her favorite things to do(so far)are sleeping and playing tug-of-war; she also seems to like feet!
In such a short time, our Mauxie puppy has already grown as attached to me as I have to her! We are all enjoying this adorable and loving addition to our family!
Mauxie Puppies - Cooper
(Castaic, CA )
Cooper
Cooper is truly a pleasant surprise addition to our family and one of the best Mauxie puppies ever.
He's everything as described in the Mauxie personality and more. However, I don't recommend for children 10 years and younger because he's quick to bite--a trait that we're trying to break.
We consider Cooper our resident clown.

Our Mauxie is the joy of our life. He is the most loving little guy, who also thinks he is a lion.
I have yet to find anything that he is afraid of.
He is definitely a Momma and Daddy's boy. I got him from someone who had an oopsie litter, and we are glad that we did.

My Mauxie puppy... IS THE CUTEST! He is playful, loves playing catch and knows many tricks and commands like hide, bang and play dead, shake hands, sit, down, roll to name a few.
Very loving and affectionate... not shy at all, he's willing to come up to you and lick your hand. He's 6 1/2 months and 6 lbs strong:)
Mauxie Puppies - Missee
by Millie Jones
(Spring Texas)
Missee age three months
Missee is a 15 month old Mauxie puppy. Her mother is a registered Dachshund her father is Maltese. She is very loving playful and has eyes that can warm any heart!
She loves her family and has many friends. She loves to go for walks but car rides are a little more challenging. Although she travels well on vacations. We want to breed her her personality has won over many of our family and friends.
Mauxie Puppies - Haleigh And Lucy
by Jessica Hollie
(Loranger, LA, USA)
Haleigh In The Bowl And Lucy Beside Her.
I have six Mauxie puppies at the moment but 4 of them are sold already and we are keeping two, the first born Lucy and the runt Emily. Emily won't stay still long enough to get a picture of but her sisters Haleigh and Lucy are very photogenic. The mom is a full bred short haired Doxie and the father a full bred Maltese. They are adorable, hyper, and very curious.
My biggest problem is keeping them from chewing on cords. But I love all of them so much and we will always get to see Haleigh cause my sister is getting her so that is good.

Mauxie Puppies - Roxy
by George
(Plainfield, Il)
She loves her chewy's!
I got one of the cutest Mauxie puppies Roxy from a local pet store for my daughters (ages 6 and 9). She has been great with them although as you say, she can be a lil nippy. She has been easy to train and listens very well. We have had very few accidents as we had to train her indoors due to the cold February Chicago weather. She was born on 10/11/2010 so she has just turned 6 months old. We brought her home at 4.3 pounds but she is now a hefty 8.1 pounds! I'm not sure how much bigger she will get but she probably also got about 4-5 inches longer.
When we first brought her home, she didn't bark. In fact, she didn't bark for 5 days! Then, my wife took her to the vet for her checkup and she said when Roxy so a very large dog, she barked like crazy... and hasn't stopped since. She is very protective of her 'turf' (the whole house) so she's a good lil watchdog.
My last training excersise is trying to keep her off the couches. Though she has her own lil bed, she loves sleeping on them. But it's funny that when my Mauxie puppy hears me walking towards the room where she's on the couch, I can hear her jump off and give me that 'look'.
And btw... she gives me the 'high 5' like in your website pic. I've attached a picture of her.

Mauxie Puppies - Tinkerbell
by Jennifer W
(San Jacinto, CA)
We just got the cutest of all Mauxie puppies Tinkerbell on March 21st. She will be 8 weeks old on March 30th 2009.
She is such a baby. And very emotional when she is upset she throws herself down on the floor and falls over it is the funniest thing. She doesn't like to be in her crate she cries and throws a fit she would rather be sleeping with somebody doesn't matter who as long as its somebody.
She is easy to potty train she cries at our sliding glass door to be let out and she goes potty. She doesn't like eating dry food, which i hope i can get her to eat it as she gets older. I tried to put up a baby gate to keep her in the room however she threw a fit with that too. I am trying to train her to be in the crate but it isn't working cuz i feel bad when she cries.
I have cats too and she likes to play with them. She has a squeaky toy that is bigger than she is but it is her fav toy and she carries it around and runs with it and falls it is so sad but funny. I love this baby so much she is the greatest dog.
