Our wonderful Maltese dog passed away at 12:40 a.m. on November 5th 2012. He was safely swaddled in my arms as I sang to him a lullaby. He took his last breath in his own home safe with his family that loves and misses him.

Our beloved 13 1/2 year old Brittany crossed the dog rainbow bridge peacefully in her sleep during the early morning hours of 12/18/12 after a week plus long battling an acute case of pancreatitis. This is a very severe disease that Brittany battled via a huge regiment of medication and twice a day trips to the vet for intervenes injection of fluids and would not wish it for any pet parent to deal with. May she rest in peace!

I am sad to say I have just experienced dog loss as my little dog Tucker passed away today, he was stuck by a car. I miss him terribly, he will forever be in my heart and in my mind. Tucker meant the world to me. I love you Tucky! Rest in peace my homework pal. (he always sits in my lap while I work on my homework.)

My fiance gave me a cuddly Malshi on the 12th of February 2012 as a Valentine's gift. I was so delighted and was so attached with this dog.
My fiance brought me to a petshop on the mentioned date telling me that we will just look for a dog and canvass for the price. I agreed to come and from the moment I saw this white Malshi puppy I was so interested. I called his eyes to be "twinkling" whenever he was looking.
My fiance instantly said that this will be the puppy that he will give to me.I was so surprised since it was on the spot choice. He said that when you have this feeling of attachement to a dog, he believes that he is intended for you.
So we got the dog, took care of him and even went back for the immunizations needed. Russel was about 2 months at that when he got an immunization on 16th of February.
The rest of the week was so different and exciting. I discovered on how we have the qualities of being a "parent" to this puppy. We were really taking care of the needs of the dog from proper dog food, warmth and lots of hugs and cuddles.
20th of February came, Russel was about a week in us when he suffered from excessive diarrhea. We rushed him to a nearby animal clinic. Resuscitation were done but to no avail, Russel left us around 10 AM that day.
Our hearts were crushed at that moment. I was even in denial and even asking myself what are the things that we lacked or looked over or neglected. I asked the veterinarian for an autopsy or medical report. It was founded out that parvovirus was the culprit. The immunization did not served its purpose at that moment.
So in this way, I think this is an option in order to ease the pain, I want to share this story. I love the breed of Malshi and I look forward for the day that I can take care another Malshi. I may not be the best dog lover but with my fiance beside me, I believe that we will have a chance to take care of another Malshi and we will love him or her like our first Malshi - Russel.

Ollie was my heart and this dog loss has hit me hard. He brought me though many trials and was always by my side. Oliver (aka, BooBoo) was 15yrs 9mon and 17days old when he needed to go rest. Aka, Bubbers was well loved by many, and pals with others, animal or human. Didn't care for delivery guys though! Ha.
He will be greatly missed. Check him out at my facebook, Michael Lanning, Side Lake, MN

I rescued a little Maltese mix dog in Dec 2009. I do not know her history but looking at the pictures she may have been a Malti/Chin. She was eight years old when I adopted her, she was only with me for less than four years but she will be forever in my heart. She was the most loving, intelligent and beautiful little dog that I have ever owned.
I take comfort in knowing that we had four wonderful years. She had some medical issues from the start, we took care of them as they came up. She passed away quickly on July 8, 2013 from a serious illness. I was with her until the end. She was around 12 years old.
Lydia is gone but will never be forgotten. I do not have any regrets of adopting an older dog.
I look forward to seeing her at Rainbow Bridge someday.
