My name is Izzabelle or Izzie for short. I am a 10 month old Maltichon and I have 3 sisters. A 3 year old Maltese, a 2 year old Bichon, and a 7 month old Golden Retriever. I enjoy washing my mom's face every morning. I also instigate my sisters. If they are sleeping and I want to play I play tug of war with their ears until they play with me. If my mom isn't paying attention to me I will nip her leg and get her attention. I love to run and play. I can dig a hole very quickly if no one is paying attention.

We completely appropriately named our Maltichon Diva because of her personality. She is cheerful and a joy to be around. 1 thing is that she is very stubborn. she was very hard to train it took a lot of time and a lot of energy. Another thing is that there should be one designated disciplinarian so she or he knows who to obey. this is a wonderful pet for families. They crave attention, so not good to preface her alone for a long time. Great for apartments just have a set schedule and a designated walk and there will be very few accidents, be patient however because these dogs pretty much never mature. My Bichon Maltese is 7lbs, five years old and still acts like she is a puppy.

My Maltichon is very playful and very smart. Since he was a little baby he learned how to steal things and hide. He wants to be the boss of the house and when we dont pay attention, he starts to bark to get all attention for him, but he is very affectionate and love kids and other dogs, also cats, birds and squirrels.

We got our male Maltichon Jake when he was 12 weeks. He is not from a puppy mill. From the getgo he had such a nice personality. He loves everyone and everyone loves him. Very friendly and loving. He loves to give kisses and be cuddled. I sometimes hold my Maltese Bichon mix dog like and baby and he seems to be very happy.
My children are getting older and I needed a baby to hold. Since we were not going to have anymore children, we decided to get a small dog. Best thing I could have done. He filled that void in my life. He is part of the family now.
My Bichon Maltese mix is such a joy to have. He gets into these running, playing moods and he just makes you laugh. He also has a underbite were his bottom teeth stick out over his top teeth.
Which makes him even cutier.
I would recommend this Maltese mix breed to anyone wanting a small loving pet. They are the best.

Charley the Acrobat
My male Maltichon Charley was three years old when his previous owner unfortunately died and her adult son placed him with Maltese Rescue. I fostered him,and I was so impressed with his adaptability, good manners, sociability, and affectionate nature that I adopted him. I was told he was a Maltese, but his hair is curly, his legs are long, and our groomer tells me she believes he is a Maltichon. He weighs nearly eleven pounds, loves small children, jumps on the back of the couch so he can jump into my arms as I walk by, and somehow steals Kleenex from the box. I have no idea how he reaches them, although I admit he is extremely intelligent. (He only does it when I am gone and he is bored.) So far he gets along with all other dogs except for one particular Pit mix at the dog park. He knew enough to scamper over to me and ask to be picked up. He is the fastest runner I've ever seen, loves to run circles and bark when unleashed. Loves to sit on my lap when I'm on the computer, but if I am busy writing and put him down, telling him to stay, he will sleep on the floor next to me. I feel guilty if I get up in the night and he follows me, but after all -- what else does he have to do? My male Maltichon is a very good companion and my elderly Ridgeback-mix and I both love him.

I knew I wanted a dog but didn't know what kind. I researched for over a year before finding out about Maltichons. Once I read upon them, I started looking for breeders in my area. I was able to locate a breeder in Ohio. I contacted her to get more information on Maltichons. After more reading, my mind was made up. I called her to find out when the next litter would be born. On Memorial Day 2011, I met the breeder to pick up my new puppy. I already had a name picked out for him (Bleu). Bleu has a personality of his own. He is very loving and playful. He loves to be around people, run and play with the kids, throwing things in the air and trying to catch them, and eating ice. He's the BEST!!!

I have the best & cutest Maltichon... his name is bubba. and when I got him he was about 1 yr old. my sister works @ a dog grooming salon, and this lady brought in this dog, and she said u can have him he is free, or if u know anyone that wants a dog they can have him. So my sister knew I wanted another dog because I had a yorkie and she had ran away. (I still miss her alot). but when I got him he was so malnurished he was all skin and bones and was shy, and very skiddish. since then (I've had him about 3 yrs now)hes grown to be a wonderful and sweet little guy (oh and his name was bobo and it was stupid and didnt fit him, so I renamed him Bubba) but he's so sweet, loves to cuddle, and loves to play... he's always dirty and needs a bath (I think thats just a boy thing) haha. I love my Maltichon!
