Well my Silkese puppy is only 12 weeks old. This little guy is very lovable. He would cry in d morning and all I have to do is either lay with him or rub him down and he'll sleep. My 2 year old daughter loves him. My Silkese walks a little funny with his back legs but his very playful... a little lazy for a walk sometimes but a little trouble maker.

Toby one of our 8 week old Silkese puppies. We picked him up yesterday and things have been pretty good. It was an hours drive from where we picked him up and we think he may have got a bit car sick as he vomited when we stopped.
Toby seems to be settling in well. He cried a bit last night, but we put a hot water bottle, a radio, a ticking clock and a night lamp with him in his pen. We all woke up bright and early with him and have taken turns in spending time with him. He also had his first bath today which he seemed to not mind tooo much.
We have put him outside by himself for the first time today and he cried for about 10 minutes and has now gone sleep at the door. Hopefully these are signs of all the good things to come. Our Silkese has a beautiful nature and loves to lie at our feet. He loves to chase and run with our 6 year old. Toby is asleep at the moment but will upload a photo when he wakes up.
We would love to hear all about your Silkese puppies too!

Mickey was my first real puppy. I bought my Maltese Silky Terrier puppy from a local breeder and I trained him myself. And let me tell you, he is a fast learner. In the past I have had Golden Labs and Golden Retrievers and surprisingly, they took MONTHS to train. Mickey was potty trained within the first two weeks of having him. He can also do 10 tricks. When I do teach him new tricks, he picks them up quickly and he has them down within 2-3 days.
Mickey is so playful and fun! My Maltese Silky Terrier mix loves people! But when meeting new faces, he does get a little protective when they are wearing a hat or hood. Mickey loves other pets too! He gets along with all dogs, big or small. I have not put him around cats just yet because he does tend to chase things. He chases everything that hops, skips, jumps or flies. If I have white socks on and walking around the house, he will pounce on my feet. But it's so cute. Mickey can also be noisy at times, but with proper training, an owner can get it to minimal to no barking at all.
Mickey is by far the best dog I've ever had! My Maltese Silky Terrier puppy is only 2 and he still has that "puppy face". I can't wait to spend time and go on more adventures with this little guy!

Our Silkese puppy Molly came to us unexpectedly on Easter morning and is now 9 mos. old. She is quite the energetic, intelligent pup and has brought so much joy and love into our lives that just writing this makes me smile.
Molly was the star of her puppy classes and everyone there adored her: people and canines. She has never met a child, grownup or dog that she doesn't like and her idea of a good time is to PLAY, PLAY, PLAY.
I can't imagine life without our Silkese Molly and this summer we changed our travel plans and did a three week road trip instead so Molly could come along. She traveled like a champ and made our vacation really special.

Katie bug is a almost 7 month old Silkese puppy and weighs about 7lbs. She has such a cute personality and has yet to meet a person that hasn't fallen in love with her!
She loves to play ball and loves any toy that squeaks. We never have a dull moment as she always seems to be doing something funny or cute and you just want to give in to her every whim! (She's not spoiled , really!!)
I just love everything about this little one. She has brought such joy into our lives as we are empty nesters and had lost our dog Maggie 2 yrs ago to old age. We said we were not going to get another dog but sure am glad we changed our minds. Katie bug is an active little thing and I'm sure she will keep us on our toes for many years to come!
When I came across this site on the Silkese I was so thrilled to see the resemblances to Katie bug . I must say these little ones have a lot in common as they are all so cute. We would not trade ours for the world, she's like one of the kids and I can tell you this "she also believes she is!!!"
