What Maltese Mix is Ollie?

His previous owner didn't know what he was crossed with other than he was a Maltese cross. We've had him for about a month. His dark face & fur has got me confused. I thought with his colouring, perhaps a Shitzu but he's too big. I've put up a pic of him before being groomed & after. The groomer thought Tibetan Spaniel but I don't think so. Would appreciate any malty lovers thoughts on what he could be crossed with!

I have seen a pup whp is black & white in face and black markings. The mum is malteese and dad is bichon??? Only 2 pups out of 6 were plain white. Are they not meant to be white??

Colour of your dog NEW

My Maltipoo (Maltese poodle mix) was also brown with a black mask as a puppy, but over time her colour grew out and she ended up white all over. I'm thinking that this might be the case with your dog as well. Having said that I'm sure it will depend on which other breed your dog is mixed with.

I'm not sure what he's crossed with, but he looks so happy he makes me smile.

Here's a wild guess; could he be part poodle or a maltipoo? I've seen them with black around the face like that, and they don't always have the real curly fur. Just a thought. How much does he weigh?
